Layering and world boss question

So I’m a part of a world boss group comprised of many guilds across our server and organized over discord. We have players scouting, and players that organize and lead the raids. Today Kazaak spawned and our scout pinged everybody. And when a raid lead invited the scout and others to raid, our entire group got moved over to a different layer than the boss. We then tried finding someone on the first layer and to no avail everyone not in the group also logged in to the new layer. Needless to say we were unable to get to the layer, let alone kill Kazaak.

Question time: do world bosses still spawn on multiple layers like they did in classic?

That sounds awfully sweaty, maybe your scout trolled you guys by pulling you to the wrong layer.

Yah we usually don’t have to deal with layering being on a relatively small server.

He said that the raid leader invited the scout, not the other way around. That was the key mistake.

They are restricted to each layer.

Ok, so he spawned again this morning. I think I got my answer.

My server of 6500 hasn’t had layers for a while. I doubt your server of 1700 has them (if you are still on BB). He was probably mistaken or trolling or there’s a slight chance it was a bug.
