WITH layers we had a tiny queue during the AQ opening event. We never felt empty without layers. I would wager that our layers are fuller than many other realms.
Unless you play here and live in oce areas, please try to consider we know more about the situation than you do.
All opinions from people who don’t want us to have our layering back that aren’t even ON a just previously layered server are null and void. Especially those that aren’t even OCE.
we’re here on the forum to bring attention to blizzard, not to have irrelevant people commenting null and void opinions.
I actually want to have empathy for you guys but many of your posters make it very hard. Honestly IDC what goes on over on your realm. My NA realm here is high pop never full and I am content with that. I couldn’t care less if they have layering on your realm as it impacts me zero. I get annoyed though when people are making demands, calling Blizzard names, asking people to complain to the ACCC, etc and sounding like spoiled little children. I know you did not have other options at the start, and I know that giving up your character that just dinged 60, was a few levels away, or even already into raiding to remake on a newly added server was a crappy option. Unfortunately your realm came to these forums and made a nuisance of themselves which earned the ire of plenty of forum posters.
Yet more entitled behavior. Unfortunately me not having a dog in this fight does not change how relevant my opinions are or are not. It appears Blizzard has decided they do not want to support grossly overpopulated servers with layering anymore. Best case scenario they give you your layering back. Worst case scenario they pull their services from Australia because 15k subs is not worth the legal fees or possible pay out (if the ACCC gets enough complaints). What you have right now is not the worst case scenario. Remember Blizzard/Activision is not an Australian based company and thus a very very small portion of their profits come from Australia.
Please relayer this server, or just make it dynamic, the issue is we have set raid times and we must be on by that time to raid, my guild raidz later at night and with layers it eats away at our raid time by upto 2 hours waiting for people on que, if your going to take away layers , you must do something else, more server slots, kick afkers, something! you cant just take away layers and watch us sit in 8 hour QUEUES AGAIN! this will destroy the raiding guilds on this server. need to suck it up, blizz you screwed our server from the start when you only mad one oce realm at the beginning.

How is it entitled behaviour to want to play the game you paid for when the other options blizzard has offered are not viable? It’s a slap in the face for them to say ‘after carefully evaluating numbers we’ve determined that layers are no longer needed’ when clearly, they are.
If the announcement of removing layers was coupled with an actually useful solution that would be one thing, but they’ve made 0 changes in the last 4 months since the last time we had layers and just expect it to be ok again
Logged on at 5pm Sunday for a 7:30pm raid in anticipation for a large queue…
Turns out queue is at 3hrs and 25min which completely destroy my guilds raid night. We are paying for a service and are not being provided that service.
Keep in mind, Sunday nights have less traffic than Wednesday which will have 5+ hour queues.
I’m not a veteran player (before the coronavirus lockdown in NZ earlier this year, I had never before played WoW in any form) and I have never viewed or posted on these forums before, ever. I didn’t know that signing up for Arugal 6 months ago came with the possibility that layers might potentially be removed at some point, thus causing 3 hour queues. I never heard about these warnings Blizzard has apparently given us because there was never any notification ingame. I cannot understand why Blizzard has removed layers a week after AQ opened, and simultaneously opened transfers to Arugal from other servers when AQ is not open on other servers. This is complete madness. I’m missing my guild AQ raid tonight because I haven’t logged in since yesterday morning and didn’t know layers were being abolished and that I would need to queue. Thanks, Blizzard.
Provide a useful solution that does not include layering please. I can not come up with any. Free transfers off did not work, warnings did not work. The only solution is for people to LEAVE THE SERVER. Everyone has made it clear they do not intend to leave the community behind. So please, what ‘useful’ solution do you have to this situation that does not include layering?
People monitor who kills bosses first in this old game? World first was sometime back in 2005 for that boss, sorry.
again, its not on the players to come up with a solution for blizzards problem, but if they opened free transfers onto a server that had more than 500 people playing on it they’d get a lot more leaving than they are now. Free transfers work fine but you cant just try and dump people onto a completely dead server. Faction queue would be another incentive, as would actually banning some of the hundreds of instance farming bots and lotus farming alt accounts
Not sure why any people were allowed to create new characters or transfer to a server that is so full that it needed layering to allow people to enjoy the classic game . I would have thought that blizzard would have locked our server till it got down to a sensible population to allow layer to be removed .
The other thing is that people dont like playin on servers that cant find grps and guild that raid on nights they are available . so whats the solution . why cant blizzard merge the pvp servers together have 1 server with enough layers to allow all the classic players the ability to play without q but also have have high population to allow grps / raid to be easily found ?
As a previous post says …this isnt vanilla …no server firsts now baby unless they are gonna release some new content … which everyone wants but looks very unlikley.
