Why wait until there is a problem every time? Could have had a 2 hour cooldown from the start. Especially when people said it was going to be abused out the booty

2 hour cooldown from the start would likely not have helped as much with lag as layering did, however it probably should have been implemented pretty soon.

Conspiracies can be a very real thing and there is nothing wrong with theorizing about them, the thing is Blizzard has been open, and unlike politicians, I don’t see any reason for them to lie about it.

Don’t believe they are lying at all, though I am quite confused about them claiming /who doesn’t show layer specific results. However, still very much think something about this needs to be done before opening the newer servers to transfers.

That settles it: layers are a more practical solution in the short run to opening new servers, and the use of layering is essentially sanctioned and recognized, within reason.

The remainder of what Paz provides is reassurance, which, personally I’m reassured.

However, I was hoping for some form of trajectory when we get rid of layers altogether. It is also interesting to hear confirmation that the layers are in the single digits, although, it seems they can adjust those caps anyway, so we have no real sense on how close we are in thinning population out over additional servers with transfers, as a logical precursor to removing layers in lieu of opening up more servers.

I don’t think labeling people as elitists for not wanting a very obviously flawed system is wise, I am quite a casual player though I grew up with this game, and simply don’t want to see major exploitation of it.

Players are out in the world questing or in dungeons? Remember that there is no auto teleport to dungeon so fewer people are sitting afk in cities.
