Layer Swapping Meta

This needs to go away. By either fully embracing layer swapping with a manual dropdown players can select at any time, or adding some kind of proximity requirement so people will stop spamming asking for layer invites.

Get an ignore addon and never see it again.

Well, it’s not just that either. Any meta player is going to need to play the meta in order to feel that they are playing the game efficiently. Which means they will have to partake in layer swapping to keep up. It’s just a bad meta and Blizzard should fix it.

What are they doing? Killing same mobs quickly across multiple layers?

So, pretend it’s a ret paladin and don’t play it.

But what will people talk about in guild chat if they’re not asking for a layer invite?

i did a “layer swap” for the first time the other day. there was like 10 people camping the yeti caves in southshore. a guildie invited me to his group, then I had the whole cave to myself :expressionless: would recommend.

the only way to “fix this” is to remove layers, but that ain’t gonna happen.

Blizzard doesn’t create metas… players do.

Drop down menu for layer choice with a 30 minute cooldown or something would be nice.

Not true. In fact that’s how balance is done in every patch with live service. The theoretical meta is what guides that. Being that the most efficient way to play is to layer hop, they need to address this. Because the standard way players play the game now is to spam asking for invites to other layers. Letting this be, as is, is just bad design.

It’s fine, skill issue on your part.

But…

But…

But, someone else might kill TWO world bosses.

Not that it matters, since his guild won’t be trying anyway.

Well that and a weird control freak issue.

Im genuinely concerned that Asma and Goodglinda are the same damn person. They will find any threads with legit concerns an game flaws and just defend bad game design from thread to thread.

Yeah… even I did the layer swap thing. I had some … mage person … farming gnolls in Redridge that was +15 levels higher. They went so far as to steal a mob from me twice. I was pretty fed up with it as they were farming the whole camps so I swapped.
