Lawsuit Timeline Summary + Lore articles

Elune’s pretty trashy right now, are you sure you want An’she to be on her level?

I would rather An’she be better than Elune at this point.

I’ve been spending much of my time on WoW doing M+. If it weren’t for that I’d probably be mostly done with the game until 9.2. I suspect whenever it is I get an Xbox Series X will decrease my WoW playing time.

I’ve been running old Legion raids, I’m currently trying to complete this sweet set I’m wearing and trying to get the Legion Order Hall mount. I’m two quests away from my pony but I got timegated by the stupid Legionfall Command Centre crafting lockout.

in Hindsight I could have completed it two weeks ago but I forgot that to get better troops you had to buy them on Argus.

I got 2/4th the way to Tier 6 in research and just gave up. I never want to have to go to Korthia ever again to be honest.

Random thought: What do you think the narrative designers are doing during this downtime? Do they go into the Blizzard offices and sit on their hands, or do they not even have to come in?

They work on the next expansion, or the one after that. There was a reddit post that, I think, showed that Blizzard was hiring somebody for the next expansion, but the image was deleted.

Do you mean the Legionfall mission you have to complete at the end? I never had a problem with it, as long as I had max-level champions. And luckily, you won’t have to complete Breaching the Tomb for every character next patch.

If you played through Legion you would have max level champions, but I didn’t on this character, so I have to start from scratch. Right now I’m doing the Argus intro, so I can get the more powerful troops and I can complete the quest.

A lot of stuff is still locked behind progression… I don’t know why, it’s old content >.<

I usually had mine at max-level by sending them on missions while leveling through Chromie Time. I assumed you would do the same, or would have done it while you leveled that character previously.

What else could go wrong?

I already knew those quests were removed when 9.1 came out, but a forum post brought it to people’s attention.

They need to bring back all the removed expansion-specific storylines, like the Legendary MoP questline.

The War of Thorns is gone, as well.

War of Thorns was a pre-patch event though. But it always feels weird how a lot of pre-patch content gets removed but something like the Theramore’s Fall scenarios stayed in the game (although raised up to level 90 from 85 when MoP launched). It also felt weird that we were only able to do the first 3 bosses of WoD’s UBRS during the WoD pre-patch. UBRS should’ve been the intro dungeon for WoD instead of Bloodmaul Slagmines. It makes more narrative sense to deal with the Iron Horde threat on Azeroth before we go through the portal. I know that levels and level requirements for dungeons do not necessarily mean they were done in the order of the requirements but for a long time Blizzard has tied dungeons to quest chains in the chorological order of when they should be done. Yet for WoD, UBRS and Shadowmoon Burial Grounds were max level dungeons. WoD as a whole was weird for dungeon timeline placements since Grimrail happens before the attack on Shattrah by the Iron horde (as it is transporting weapons etc for said battle) but it is done afterwards as it is part of the Legendary chain. Along with Auchindoun (done at the end of Talador) and bloodmaul slagmines (first dungeon for WoD). At least Everbloom doesn’t have any major story attached to it and it a max level dungeon. And I just noticed I went off on a weird tangent.

But yeah, Blizzard should bring back removed storylines, mainly the MoP and WoD legendary chains. I mean the WoD legendary is still broken. It is unusable in timewalking because the use effect doesn’t scale at all. Which is why most people who make timewalking sets go for the pre-legendary rings. So the whole “we want people who got it to feel special when using it” doesn’t apply. It also draws into question why other legendary quest chains such as Thunderfury, Shadowmorne, Dragonwrath and the Blades of the black prince remained. I guess it is because not every class can start of thoses (well except for Thunderfury but only classes that can equip 1 hand swords can actually use it).

Do you want An’She to be the First? Or do you want him not to be a “traitor to his people” incapable of consistent behavior?
OK. What are we bargaining on?
The only kinship between the Pantheons at the moment - Elune and the Queen of Winter?

I personally think, based on Eyes of the Earthmother, that An’she is following an Egyptian myth pattern because there is similarities in that story to the fall of Shu. The new Grimoire shows the Tauren have the “Dawnbringer” aka Lucifer, parallels related to An’she.

With that knowledge I have speculated that the Jailer is An’she.

I agree with Baal though that if that’s true Blizzard is disrespecting the “Native” aspect of the Tauren by not basing An’she on real native mythology. He would have every right to be upset. This game appropriates native motifs but doesn’t honor native mythology, and I agree that villian batting the patron God of the only native inspired people in wow would send a terrible message. I’m already worried about this by how they demonized Voodoo and made Bwomsamdi / Meuh’zala villians.

Therefore, I hope I am wrong, but I just don’t trust Blizzard at this point not to weave racism into Warcraft because it’s already happening. If Metzen’s Biblical allegories were not enough to show his mishandling of Tauren lore, than his defence of the Tauren being a “patriarchy” and fighting against another group of Tauren who wanted a matriarchy, should have been other red flags that Metzen didn’t care about real native culture, “squaw get um firewood” is a special brand of racist trope too. But that’s just my own opinion. That’s why I hated the Tauren for years until the Highmountain kind of but not really fixed this issue by having a female chieftan.

I don’t hold my breath for positive representation though. Blizzard is too far off the rails for that. They are now pushing Mayla to marry Baine (why?! No!)

Not with my education to go into the jungle of mythology, racism and the current state of affairs. Mda.
Who should An’She be in the “evil Light” expansion?

For political purposes I suppose. Which is kinda the same reason that some people ship Anduin and Tess.

If that’s true…than uhh…I’m at a loss for words as that mentality helps literally no one.

They been disrespecting native/Caribbean mythologies since classic. They actually though turning a good Lwa like Bwomsomdi into a Bad Guy was going to go over well with voodoo practitioners. Like you should be consulting experts on a certain culture before taking ideas/beliefs from said culture and twisting it into something completely the oppposite.

I think that’s why they took a hard turn in BFA and shifted focus of Bwonsamdi back to being a “trickster” type figure instead.

The political marriage trope is too heteronormative tbh.

If they really wanted to subvert tropes, they should make Baine two spirit.

A lot of the older people still playing tend to forget that a lot of LGBTQ+ young people play games and need hero’s and such to root for too, you know?
