I heard earlier today that Lava Burst is now a strong spec for Ele in PvP. But the guy also said something about Ele doing way to much damage and didn’t know if it was intended or not. All I ever heard about on the forums was the Ele lightning build and lots of people saying Lava Burst was never going to be good even in 11.05. So I was wondering if anyone has been playing Lava Burst and if it’s good for Running both PvP and PvE?

Well, I don’t get it, either it’s bugged or IDK. Top shaman seem to be running Lava Burst in PvP, but no one seem to be running Lava Burst in mythic raids. So I don’t know what’s going on with that. Multiple PvPers saying they got blown up by LvB shamy, but no one is talking about it here and a lot of these guys are sensitive about LvB being good at all, in fact they actively seem to hate it.
So if it was doing good I would have thought there would be some short of meltdown going on.
It’s only been one day. We’ll see some meltdowns I am sure. I just hope the meatball build survives.
Ive played against it and as it today and its not that good. Still has strong counters to stop the damage. Atm it seems its just as good as frost mages burst. But you knkw shaman can never be as good as mage so theyll complain about it hard.
Play it while u can kill mages thats all

This is 100% factually wrong. It very much relevant for Raid. M+ less so on trash but for boss its still pretty important even without playing P Wave.
lava burst still feels slow dmg wise outside of ascendance, still not enough instant procs even spamming lava totem on hunter pets

Normally I don’t use ChatGPT when an opinion is involved, but it does pretty well on definitions of words in a case like this. So, I’m not 100% wrong, in fact it very much seemed to me when I looked on the leader boards.

Yes. It is 100% factually wrong to say you’re not using Lava Burst in mythic raids. Unless you’re stupid for not using a core rotational ability.
Find me any top 100 log on any mythic fight where an ele shaman never casting Lava Burst. Rework quite literally made it a regular rotational ability. Its also literally given to you in the class tree and you cant talent out it. But I might be missing something and you might just be talking about PvP 100% and the “mythic raid” might have been some weird typo or something.
