Launching TBC 41812 locks up entire mac

I’m on macOS Catalina, 10.15.7. Macbook Pro (16-inch, 2019). 2.4 Ghz 8-core i9. 64GB, AMD Radeon Pro 5500M 8GB.

If I launch the game my machine just locks up the second the “Connecting…” screen appears.

I deleted my Interface and WTF folders to try that too. Still locks up. The only log file that prints anything is gx.log:

Anyone have any ideas? The PTR did this too, I just ignored thinking they’d have it fixed by launch day.

Try to set your monitor to 1080p?

I’m also having this same issue, entire mac freezes upon launch and get’s stuck on “connecting”. I’m running 10.15.5

I had this issue a bunch of times. Believe it or not, try using a VPN connection real quick. By any chance are you on Verizon Fios?

Having the same issue.
I made a post on the MAC Technical Support Forum earlier today

Check permissions on the world of warcraft directory.
I have read that they should be 7,7,7 …
If Battle.net can not write to a directory it wait untill you let it.

I got a Bizz response on the Post I made in Mac Tech Support.

If you are having the same issue, head over there and post your: OS version and your GPU in the system.
