Just unlocked Mag’har and really want to roleplay as a Laughing Skull. I am puzzling over which class would go well with the slightly insane but clever angle.
Rogue comes immediately to mind–poisons, a grapple hook to get around jungle overgrowth, survival knives, etc. Monk is probably a close second, beating things to a pulp barehanded.
You can also get away with it as a Warrior.
Warrior or Rogue, though I think Rogue better suits the Laughing Skull
Warrior works too though since Fury suits them just fine
Survival hunter.
A hunter who goes “why shoot a bow when I can just run over there and impale that guy?”
Hunter, Rogue, and Monk seem to be the top contenders. Hunter, because of their hardiness and survivability in the harsh jungles of Gorgrond. Rogue, because of their affinities with stealth and poisons, as well as their love of stabbing. Monk, because - like Morician said - hit stuff good.
Ultimately though, you can be anything provided you’re wearing the mask.
Yeah, anyone can be a Laughing Skull with the mask on. At least that’s my interpretation of the lore we’re given and the fact the clan was led by an ogre at one point.
Personally, I think breaking the mold (I see nothing but rogue Laughing Skulls pretty much 24/7) could be interesting. Hell, what about a mage? A priest, even, formerly Lightbound, driven mad by the torture and conditioning they underwent, now attempting to reconnect with the only clan which might accept them back into the fold? Could be more compelling than Laughing Skull Rogue/Hunter #42069.
But also you can play any class you want and RP any other class you want, so hey, do whatever makes you happy, man. My Laughing Skull, for instance, is a hunter by class, but a Human Paladin by choice.
