Zereth Mortis is the best place to farm it between the rares, some of the dailies, wq and treasures.

The fastest way is to not do it and ignore that the expansion even exists.

Because no matter how many times I say I’m never going back there, I always find a mog I want and need to farm anima or grateful offerings to get it lol

yes, the zereth mortis rares are the best. you will get 6-9 tokens of anima, each giving 35 per rare…
you can kill the rare as many times as you want per day and still get anima; just have to wait for it to respawn (also it wont show on the map since u killed it once).
after your first kill, you would no longer be eligible to receive any loot that the rare drops but you will always receive anima.

make sure you grab the weekly anima quest from your covenant, it’s a nice chunk of gold

I’ve also been avoiding SL but there are a lot of +1 to my mount collection I need to get from that xpac.

I know this is theoretically right but it really sucks trying to get to the rares before they get immediately misted by the first person to get there. I guess it depends on your server, but I’ve found it increasingly frustrating to try and farm anima there.

People are jerks.
I was recently farming the Harvester in Mechagon for his mount and people would come along and blow all their cooldowns on him.
It’s like, why? He makes a zone wide announcement when he spawns so why not auto combat to give people a few seconds to get there? It just made me shake my head.

Blizz needs to put super fast respawn timers for rares in old expacs.
Anyone leveling is probably in Chromie time thingy, so they can keep the feeling normal there.

It’s not like I mind the grind. In fact, I rather enjoy farming. It’s the waiting around between moments of productivity I can’t stand.

SL LFR bosses drop ~200 a pop. Just something else you can do if you don’t feel like running around an old zone.

Korthia is worse, considering some of the rares drop mounts and they all drop less anima. People are camping and sniping those all the time.

Are you doing this on a level 70 character? Are you strong enough to solo the world bosses (those guys on the map indicated in purple, plus any quests also in purple)? If so, that’s 500 anima each, which means 1500 to 2000 per week just doing those, in addition to the other sources of anima.
Recently I also decided to try other Covenant stuff. So I’m not laughing but instead enjoying Shadowlands a lot more now than back then.
