Latest patch bugs

Hey, Blizz. What’s your plan, now that you made it so that I can change my house size without losing everything, to return other functionality to us? I get that you’re a small indie company with no corporate backing or support to speak of, and so you can’t possibly have the resources to figure out how to make your game more stable than a box full of radioactive isotopes, but I promise, you can do the things you’ve already done. So why can’t you?

I get mad at a lot of people for just whining about stuff and paying for the privilege. I can’t keep playing a game where its functionality depends on star charts, the tides and whether or not Mercury is in retrograde. I can’t place decor I could last week. I can’t move decor I placed last week. Sometimes, I can’t strafe or jump in dungeons. I can run a raid with no addons and still get UI errors. What. Is going. On. People aren’t gonna stay with a game where the ground gives way every five steps. Like, the community isn’t even a community. All you’re doing is giving people thorns in their side to quit over. I would either figure out how to make the game able to support its own weight or pray the addiction model holds. Because this cannot last.

Welcome to Wyrmrest Accord, tell us about your character. :sparkles:

Or since it’s patch week, tell us about what particularly grinds your gears today.

Wrong forum, honey.

thanks, I’ll delete it.

Edit: can’t delete it. What a waste of time.

The WrA forums is used to people randomly posting things meant for General here so I assure you, it’s an afternoon’s whimsy for us.

Still kinda embarrassing.

Nah, don’t be :sparkling_heart: This is a weird forum thing that has existed for years. I think it has to do with how active the WRA realm forum is because we love arguing about elf hair colors or something silly. So WRA gets bumped to the top as the suggested place to post and it’s easy to miss.

Feel free to tell us about your RP character while you are here, we love that kinda stuff

I am a frequent flier on the Bugs Forums and was excited to read this post on my home forums to be honest.

Not being able to strafe or jump in dungeons. I haven’t come across this one personally, but I did experience this in the new alternate Shadow Enclave Delve with the mirrors. It sucks because you can’t reload the UI to clear the conditions where the system still thinks your character is holding a mirror, thus won’t allow you to strafe, turn, or jump. I was able to clear it by logging out and logging back in, but the moment you pick up another mirror, the same thing happens, so you end up just having to deal with using your mouse to move and not relying on jump.

I haven’t raided, so I’m not sure what kind of UI errors you’re getting, but that sucks…do you know if they’re similar to what we got in K’aresh before and during the prepatch event?

The item placement bug in the home decor mode would frustrate me too. I know a lot of people love the housing feature, but I’m still not a fan. I will maybe give it a go once they fix the outside item restrictions so I can actually design my plot the way I want to without Blizzard HOA telling me I can’t install a nicer fence because it chews up over 100 item slots unless you use the broken looking fence. I’m so AR when it comes to housing, haha!

Other than the strafe, turn, jump bug from Delves, I’ve noticed there’s a weekly world quest in Zul’Aman where you click the ball of fire and fight a flame version of yourself. It was reported back in Alpha the doppelganger would sometimes disappear and that is still happening even now sometimes. I wish you luck though! I know how frustrating it is and if you need a break, take a break.

I on the other hand, have experienced no bugs :bug: unless you count my PC keeps catching on fire if I attempt to step into the lightbloom :dracthyr_lulmao:

Does anyone know what the hotfix was for? Did anything specific get fixed?

It was an old raid, Sanctum of Domination. Every now and again, the UI flips out and asked for a reload. I reloaded and would get about five minutes of peace, lol

Um, Sava Ru is a dracthyr who was supposed to be an evoker, but thanks to the extremely competitive environment Neltharion created, he was sabotaged by one of his siblings. To try and prove his usefulness to Neltharion, he branches off into becoming a warlock. I haven’t hammered it all out, but as part of his rites, he slew the rival dracthyr and uses his skull as a magical focus (Skull and Spine of Thal’kiel). Now that he’s awake again and Deathwing is dead, he’s free to pursue his interests, which as it turns out, are very expensive for warlocks. Societal taboos, and so on.At the moment, my guild hasn’t been active RPwise that much, but I have my house set up kinda like a spa/resort kinda place. Has a museum room, lodging, a study for discussion, a Garden of Delights with massage tables and a grotto, and a self-serve cafe, complete with a crepe station. The idea being that people come, they pay, they stay, and his demons do all the work. When I do more expansion focused RP, I’m sure the more military side of him will appear, but right now he’s kinda idle. He also has a focus on perfectionism, which is difficult for a dracthyr for a lingering injury. (I like playing disabled characters as I are one.)

I was running my 30th character or so through Eversong Woods when I saw people complaining how the Lightbloom areas were causing graphical glitches on their PCs. I tried to replicate it but was unable to do so. Whether due to my GPU or the game settings I have, I’m not sure, but is one less thing I have to worry about!

This one? Hotfixes: April 22, 2026

OHhhh…Shadowlands was a hot mess. It was the first expansion I cancelled my account over during the first few days of early release and stayed gone until halfway through the Dragonflight.

I read all of it and I believe it’s a solid character backstory and sounds interesting!

My PC is a little over 13 years old and I’ve been having issues since Shadowlands. Ardenweald was pretty rough for me but Lightbloom zones are like times a thousand percent more intense lmao.

Yet it’s only gotten worse since then. My PC now overheats if I’m just inside my half finished house with very little decor placed.

That sucks…it’s rough watching your favorite little dopamine dispenser getting too old to run some of the things you love playing. PCs aren’t cheap and I doubt I will ever believe otherwise.

I bet your rig can bake cookies. Or char them, really. Like a noisy and maybe a little bit haunted Easy Bake Oven.

These are the consequences of the AI bubble, over reliance and then the layoff of the human employee combo.

Layoffs so large, I think they were temperately larger than some counties.

Shame.

Watching Xbox break is like watching an avalanche.

This is going to continue until there is top-down regulation against it, but the top doesn’t care. What’s left then is rejection of the masses and a general strike, if we’re ballsy enough. Too often as a society, we’re just not. The quote “You can always count on Americans to do the right thing… after all other options are exhausted” comes to mind (paraphrase).

Anyway, there are people and lives behind the big layoff numbers you’re seeing in headlines and the effects of genAI handling technology folks take for granted are beginning to be felt and will continue. Not to mention the financial and environmental cost of data centers.

So hang tight and don’t buy the genAI hype, all. It’s garbage, it’s driving up living costs, poisoning the environment, and gutting careers.

(Source: Myself and partner were part of the mass tech layoffs last year and job prospects continue to be garbage as more and more companies replace people with genAI. Also the news.)

Bless me father, for I logged in. It has been one week since I tried to actually play.

Tried to log in on Saturday. The act of attempting to change my outfit caused the game to SegFault and almost took everything else down with it. Well that’s nearly impossible, I’ll just log back in and…nope as soon as I logged SegFaulted again. Third time…fingers crosssed. Oh good, the outfit change went through. I’m…you know what, I’m calling this a sign from God and tapping out.

Tonight I went into Tazavesh Heroic to help someone out and about 2 meters into the instance 1/3 of my addons just…detonated. Dumb ones, too,

Can’t mouse over dead NPCs because XRP suddenly can’t deal with names. But JUST dead ones. Elephant died because apparently MY NAME is a secret now. MonkeySpeed went out of commission for similar reasons. DejaCharacterStats threw up multiple windows that blocked my view of Achillite completely because when you gain [Devoured Anima] something in your attributes shifts and it’s - you guessed it - a secret to everybody.

Achillite 's still suuuuuuper broken, by the way. He did not spark joy.

When I tried to hearth to my Garrison the Blizzard Photo Sharing Frame somehow got involved and wracked up +50 errors before it softlocked OPie and finally completed the teleport.

I’m 100% sure I’m not the “3l1t3 Hax0r” that the Addon Apocalypse™ was supposed to punish, but I sure do feel like the one consistently taking it in the shorts.
