anyone else having latency issues in the new zone theres sometimes a 2 second or longer delay for all actions
yes 100,000 players are in that area in all instances there will be some lag
Most likely happens in high/full pop servers.
Massive latency yea…
New zones are always laggy, would be nice if Blizzard fixed it at some point
Too many ppl here & some tech issues
yea, but mine have been going on for months
low ping, single digit sometimes, but up/download latency spikes are killing me, literally. I can’t get Zek ?? because of it.
my ISP says not their problem so not sure what I can do from home that can solve it.
afaik all I can do is report it to Blizzard and my ISP and hope one or both can work together to fix it.
it’s laggy but it’s a server load type of lag. since every nerd in the North America is there today.
man if only there were some way of taking preventative measures for a large influx of people
wow. high latency in an area with lots of players…who woulda thunk it.
the cost vs benefit says it’s a bad investment. lag will organically decrease by morning.
I know people were excited to use the new content, but the problem you run into is having so many players in one tight space at the same time. I have a character on Moonguard and when I go to stormwind, I have the same problem because the city has thousands of people in it.
Of course we are all lagging, we expect this every patch since Shadowlands Expect 6 hour maintenance every Tuesday for the first month.
“WoW devs are [insult] and [insult] and [insult]! Why can’t they do anything right! REEEEE!”
There, said the rhetoric for everyone who feels the need to abuse employees for every minor little thing in the game. Now, for rational people…
Yeah mostly this is what I figured. Seems to just be an unfortunate and unavoidable reality. If there is anything that can be done, I hope it is, but I get the feeling that there isn’t really. C’est la vie.
Here it is, the next day and still massive loot lag, quest turn in lag etc. But yea, the players are the problem for even bringing it up.
You would think with all the money they make they would upgrade the servers to have a few thousand people in one spot.
the undermine is horrible laggy and quest are laggy
Just went to do some fishing at the Marina, the lag is still happening for fishing, exactly as it was yesterday. So much for “it will be better by tomorrow”.
It’s just bad.
unfortunately, it will cost blizz $$$ to upgrade their outdated hardware - so until that happens we need to wait for the novelty to wear down and reduce the total number of players inside one instance
Is it still bad in warmode?
