Latency spikes during peak hours, Classic Era - Whitemane

Small bumps in latency throughout the day, usually around 70 ms but can get up to 120 so nothing awful. However around peak hours (5 - 9 server time) the latency spikes are more severe, especially in raid, sitting around 300-500 ms. Makes it extremely difficult to play, and has been an ongoing issue for the past few weeks.

Both of these Hurricane Electric nodes are showing packet loss and high latency before you reach the servers. You’ll need to alert the ISP and share the test results with them since HE.net is routing their traffic.

Edit: Just saw some activity from HEnet on Twitter. They had some issues earlier today so this may be the remnants of resolving those.

Thanks for the response, unfortunately the issue has persisted :frowning: . I was finally able to get in touch with a real technician at my ISP, best they said they could do was to forward the message to HEnet, but who knows if that will resolve anything.

This is a good thing. Most ISP’s won’t even do that. It may take a bit of time but hopefully they fix the issue for you.

Well, it’s something. In the meantime, try a VPN.
