For p1-p3, I played the new phases right at release, and even took time off of work during the leveling phase to stay ahead of the curve (I play on CS). The reason was I always thought that falling behind on a PvP server triggers a snowball effect. For p4, I completely dropped the ball and haven’t started yet. How big of a disadvantage am I in now?
Just level in dungeons you won’t get ganked by all the 60s farming mats, and dungeon spam is faster anyway.
None. Dungeon spam is in full force so you can run what you need quickly. MC releases Thursday so get those red bulls on ice and cowboy up!
No disadvantage, I started SOD in p4 and I’m going fine. Haven’t got all the runes, but got what matters. Found a friendly guild and I feel sorted.
In terms of leveling, no there’s no disadvantage as it’s quite quick to level.
In terms of getting gold for an epic mount - don’t bother probably best to reroll lock or paladin due to the inflated economy from incursion gold
On behalf of classic sweatlords, “no, go back to retail, this game is not for you. You must spend hundreds of hours to be able to play with us” and “changes would kill the world”.
Inflated economy also means you sell for higher at the AH.
You’ll get over 1k gold under a week if you simply do dungeons and sell your junk.
Ok great I’ll sell all the boe tier 0 from dungeons.
Nvm it’s purchasable with reels and worth 3g. Bummer.
I started late in p3, did mostly quests by myself and was relentlessly ganked. No plans to start p4 for me (my class is the bottom of the bottom in pvp tho)
The only annoying part is going to be getting runes from p1-p3 that required groups to complete. It was a struggle session getting a few of them (looking at you, Riptide).
As for levelling i was left alone going from 40-60. I skipped Searing Gorge just due to the insanity from the BRE event. Made a good chunk of cash knocking out full zones of quests in one pass in slightly over an hour a piece.
