am I doing something wrong? when I launch wow classic I use the desktop icon that opens specifically era servers, click play and it launches me into not only not HC but a pve classic server. Why?

Theres an option in the bnet launcher to select the gamemode you want to launch to. If you want doomhowl, set it to anniversary hardcore
I did that but it still takes me to anniversary pve or pvp. I think the game is bugged.
