It’s more to do with sanguine and quaking being non-affixes.

Probably because it’s more forgiving to make mistakes on a Trash Pack than it is a long boss fight.
A DPS messed up and died? Just release and quickly run back if you can.
A DPS messed up on a boss without Bress? Well… GL.
I enjoy Tyrannical, but I can see why it’s not overly liked.

Here lemme get right on it after ending my SL sabbatical from week 3.
I hate Fortified. Trash packs take forever and I have to use all my GCDs to spam heal tank, so there’s no time to DPS. Also, several trash packs in this expac are way more dangerous than bosses.

I agree. As a healer Fortified is a nightmare always, where as Tyrannical is more manageable with a good group.

Looking back at BfA…
Yazma. Troll council in King’s Rest. Pyromaniac lady in Tol Dagor. Every boss in Underrot and Shrine of the Storm (although to be fair, SotS was just as awful on Fort weeks).
I can understand if you like Tyrannical as a healer though, since you could just run 3 FoTM DPS and a Prot Warrior with eight ranks of Twilight Devastation and melt the bosses in 20 seconds flat, and if somebody ends up getting killed by a oneshot in that time, oh well, you can still kill the boss easily before the floor fills with death and you waste six minutes on a TPW and lose the timer because you can’t carry the dead weight of a Frost Mage on the back of a mediocre spec like Ret Paladin. >.>
People love mythic +
The majority of its participants capitalize on and prefer the easiest affixes.

Statistically easier, always has been. Check raider io and you’ll see all the highest stuff is always done on fortified. Not even debatable.
If you’re skeptical about SL runs, check historic runs from previous seasons. All fortified. It IS easier.

Empowered trash is almost always going to be easier to deal with than a raid-length boss fight with little margin for error. You can CC trash and kite away from most of the danger.

I am currently reforming from resto.
The amount of times I have had tanks stand there trying to face tank the buffed bears in HoA has broken my spirit. every cooldown in my arsenal used to just barely skim by all while spamming regrowth as fast as it will let me and then have the tank start off with the “garbage healer” and so on meanwhile still having a full pocket of cd’s available to use, this xpan has been the worst for healing. its either the surge of players coming back or a lot of doofuses have found their way into the tanking role.
no thanks… starchicken it is for the foreseeable future.
(these are all low keys by the by 6ish)

because it really is easy. You can outpush adds. Where bosses you can’t really. And some of the bosses do take 3-5mins fight.
Yeah, I mean that’s why. In a way, lower keys are harder because you’re more likely to be paired with garbage players. If you’re in a higher key, you shouldn’t even have to deal with the enraged bears because people know how to kill the master before she cast it, or they cc her while she’s casting (DKs are king; can grip it or stun her).
And if you’re in higher keys, and your tank has a respectable io score, they’ve gotten that because they recognize that stuff isn’t face-tankable and they run the hell away when they’re getting melted.
Fortified is easier on the clock, not always easier difficulty wise. Tyrannical just takes a lot longer making it harder to time keys
You can’t really get hard stuck on trash. Even if you wont time a key, completion is much easier to get. I’ve had TOP keys that fell apart at the last boss cause the mechanics would just 1 shot people.

I don’t disagree with anything you said, however unfortunately, you need to do these lower ones to get the IO to even get looked at for the higher ones, and doing the lower ones as a healer (at least for me) I am finding to be one of if not, the most stressful thing I have experienced in a long time.
My goal right now is to get the IO / gear to get accepted into the higher keys and then it should kind of mellow out a bit. #pray
