I get that gold reward is being removed but I expected a change from Gold to Anima or other reward…It seems like Devs just decided to left missions without reward at all.

I’m hoping that the gold nerf doesn’t happen tomorrow because Blizz has not specifically mentioned it in any change announcements…(at least not that I remember seeing)
But I’m sure it will happen anyway. I really just want 2 more weeks of easy gold.
I’ve never seen them announce it before - they usually just yank the gold rewards and only respond when people complain (if they respond at all). I will miss the free gold, but it will actually be kinda nice not to have to check the WoW mobile app any more.

You know what I find weird?
Does anyone remember those 1k (2k?) gold emissaries from BFA? Well, Blizzard nerfed those to be like 100g or something, because they “didn’t want people to feel obligated to go back to old content to make good gold”. Okay, good thought for that, but then why are there still WQs in Kul’Tiras and Zandalar that give 250g payouts? That’s the same, if not higher payout than what the WQs in SL give.
Soooo. Let me rephrase their quote to better fit their narrative…
“We don’t want people to go back to BFA zones at level 60 and easily farm the 1k (2k?) gold emissaries to make phat bank. We tell you where to go and what to do. We make the rules. You obey.”
Either that or…
“We set the SL WQ payouts to be as low as BFA because we don’t want people to make gold easily.”
I dunno.

Fun fact. The Nzoth invasions never had their gold reward nerfed. Make 2k in 5min.

Yeah unfortunately it’s not a guaranteed reward - sometimes you get 0 gold. It’s been a while since I did those, but it seemed like it was about 50/50.

I think the inflation caused by mission tables is probably best to just be avoided. Both in terms of raw gold and materials.
This is an mmo after all, not a mobile game.
Blizzard keeps struggling to add a mobile game element to WoW, when their best option, pet battles, just continues to be ignored.

You’re probably not…and it sucks that I didn’t know about it for the last 2 years. In theory, they are nerfing calling gold tomorrow too, so that means invasions might be the only way to make easy gold for a few weeks.
Devs should just provide better WQs rewards, sometimes I found a lot of WQs providing gear that I don’t need and it sell for less gold that a gold WQs…WQs should provide materials, gold like mission tables, so you’ve to do some kind of actual gameplay.

Actually you know what , I am just going to move all my characters to Stormwind now with this ending . All my paragon caches are at 1 to 3 k rep, too far away to even bother

You’d be surprised how much rep you can get in just a day. There’s the two weekly quests in Oribos for 1k rep for your chosen faction. There’s the weekly in Korthia for 500 rep for every faction. There’s the maw assault for 1k rep for whatever faction is controlling it. Then you have callings for either 1.5 or 2k rep for the callings involving any rare elite WQ. 
150g!? Why not 1 silver!?

This is right in line with what Blizz did at the end of Legion and BFA - emissary gold rewards were reduced by 90% when those expansions ended. It feels worse with callings because you could get the gold every single day, but it does not surprise me that this would be their plan.
Dang it, it is true! I just did one to test it. So many golds that I never got to put in my pocket.
what if i start a gold mission now but don’t pick it up, or it doesn’t finish, until after the weekly reset?
Just wondering, question for those that spent time on/actually played beta: what is the “new” make-easy-gold-with-your-alts feature in DF?
I did this at the end of BFA and I got no gold for those missions.
Yeah, those emissary quests were 2000g, and they got nerfed to 200g. But that didn’t happen in pre-patch, it was a couple of weeks into SL.
