Why are there so many large creatures with little tiny hit boxes?

Cuz the game is trying to make you play noodle arm rogue or Surv hunter if your melee
So you too can know the joys of fighting as a gnome and not being able to see squat!

i dont notice it much on my outlaw rogue but my ret paly does lol
some huge enemies you have to almost clip into to be able to hit, while some others can be hit from a much bigger distance. it feels weird.
some of the bigger creatures have a larger hitbox to compensate but some dont, its just weird.
i thought it could have to do with “boss” vs “non-boss” but it happens on the big guy in grimrail’s first boss for example… so its not that.
i ended up thinking blizz just lacks consistency and shrugging it off.
