Laptop for WoW

I am finally seriously ready to buy a laptop for wow. I don’t plan on raiding with it but I would like it for leveling alts, farming, doing daily stuff.

My budget is 500-800. Obviously the cheaper the better but I am bad at figuring out what I need. Any tips?

i bought a lenovo legion 5 , its got an i7 and plays wow easily, great gaming laptop, sweet actually, costed 800

Do remember that a laptop is more difficult to keep cool, you might want to invest also in a cooling pad for it to keep things under control while you’re gaming.

World of Warcraft Shadowlands Recommended Requirements

  • CPU: Intel Core i7-6700 or AMD Ryzen 7 2700X

  • RAM: 8 GB

  • OS: Windows 10 64-bit

  • VIDEO CARD: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 or AMD Radeon RX Vega 64

  • FREE DISK SPACE: 100 GB

  • DEDICATED VIDEO RAM: 8192 MB

I legit thought this was a joke, but damn they do recommend a $900-1000 PC. I would argue the 2700x is a bit more powerful than the 6700 and also 16GB of ram is ideal.

And people always say this game runs on a toaster, lol

Those recommend specs surprised me. Although I would make a few changes:

  • CPU: Intel Core i7-8700K or AMD Ryzen 7 2700X
  • RAM: 16 GB
  • OS: Windows 10 64-bit
  • VIDEO CARD: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 or AMD Radeon RX Vega 64
  • FREE DISK SPACE: 100 GB
  • DEDICATED VIDEO RAM: 8192 MB

I’d probably go with i7-8700 and Ryzen 5 3600

2700x is still slower than the 8700k, and you don’t really need an 8-core for WoW

Looks ok, some suggested a nice cpu but you also need a dedicated GPU as well.

Got an Asus gaming laptop with ryzen 5 and gtx graphics card
