Is there a way to make sure there are no language barriers in the Group Finding algorithm in the North/Central/South American server groups?
Nothing is more frustrating when those barriers get you killed.

No, complaints about it always cause threads where people are called “racist.”
Yes, then someone (like the poster below) says no one ever talks anyway.
You actually talk to the other players in the dungeon? Language has never been a barrier for me.
Sometimes when I’m trying to help them, they may not understand and do something to the detriment of the safety of the group.
I wish we could at least filter out foreigners. There used to be an addon that let you block any realm (in this case, Ragnaros and QuelThas), but Blizz killed it
Dem dirty foreigner’s taken our jerbs.
I can usually tell when someone from these servers has no idea what we’re saying.
I remember back in a Mythic+ Key during Legion, it was on the final boss in vault, The Hunter kept running into the green walls.
We asked if he could stop, and tried to explain to him what was happening. He does it again.
We ask if can he understand us, he just shuffles around, plays with some toys. Does it again when we pull.
Then we kick him and he just responds back something in Spanish. Key was already tanked from the wipes, so.
So you cannot understand what its written on my post?
There should at least be a language filter like in FFXIV, where you can select English, Japanese, German, etc speaking groups so there are no communication issues. There are also commonly used phrases that you can choose from that will translate into the native language of whomever reads it.
/Charge=pull faster
/gasp I butt pulled
/tickle Lets take this to goldshire
Emotes are universal, all you need
Don’t need that in Europe, almost everyone speaks English.
You don’t need proper communication for any form of queued content. It’s a non-issue there.
BR & LA don’t have enough population to fuel their own queues. Separating them would be a detriment to the game for them. We can deal with it.
For Premade Groups, you can do your own filtering. I tend to ask a non yes or no question as a quick check before inviting someone from a “questionable” realm. Something like “What is your favorite aspect of the Harry Potter series?”. Even if they don’t know anything about HP, if they know English they can respond to that. Just don’t say “English?” because it’s too easy for them to just type “yes”.
BR and LA realms are not the same. BR realms are the ones that are basically universally terrible in exceptional ways and almost always have some sort of language barrier. LA realms are far more of a mixed bag, and are much more likely to have good, English-speaking players than BR realms.
BR Realms:
LA Realms:
Perhaps you could build…some kinda…of…Wall…
Make some friends, op. Then you won’t have to worry about that.
Now that is racist. Or wording correcly, xenophobic.
(edited to include the quote)
Be neat if there was an option choice there like:
and players could just choose which they supported when queuing.
You clearly don’t know the meaning of the word then.
Just talking in Binary in dungeons…00100010 001010001…00101001 , that should do it.
Pretty good example right here.
There is nothing racist about the word Brazillian. Or Mexican. Or Columbian. It’s like calling someone Canadian. YOUR COUNTRY OF ORIGIN ISN’T YOUR RACE
