Please keep Latin and Oceanic servers separate from US servers. Not being able to communicate with my pugs is such a horrible experience. It’s getting worse and worse. Go take at look at your premade groups. More than 75% of the premade groups have Spanish descriptions. I’m not sure when or why Blizzard decided to merge these servers like it would be a good idea. I think it started back in BfA. Do the devs even play WoW? I feel like they just don’t get it.
You’re right but people will probably accuse you of being racist or something lol
Oceanic is English though lol.
Far from it. I’m part Spanish from birth.
It can’t be racist because he’s not even mentioning ethnic groups. Only language barriers and servers, which are normal concerns.
And make us lag like garbage. Under no circumstances do I queue into oceanic servers because of it.
what is the language on oceanic servers?
First of all it North American server and people dont only speak english there i think its time for u to grow up a bit
Oceanic servers do not have a language barrier with NA servers.
Our Aussie and Kiwi brethren can play with us if they want to. /sticks out tongue.
In addition, we have a Brazilian dude on our raid team. We communicate with him just fine.
Ragnaros, Azralon, etc. players are often blacklisted for this very reason. They’re usually terrible at the game.
Is it so hard just not to invite people from those servers or join their groups? Then you solve your own problem without sounding terrible on the forums.
Ignoring the problem is definitely how you solve the problem.
It completely ruins the experience if I’m forced to get deserter buffs. Lose/lose situation. If I stay or if I go, who suffers? I’m pretty sure those servers will be fine in their own category like it was for 14 or so years.
I do dare you to look in your premade group list. I was actually looking for an “English” premade group for an event but they were all in Spanish. Like 40 out of 50 premade groups. To me, that’s a problem. To be on a North American server and to find that 80% of the groups are in Spanish doesn’t make any sense.
Asking for segregation is that sounding terrible on the forums thing I was talking about. It’s not going to happen and asking for it just makes you sound awful. Cut your losses and deal with it on your own.
You’re racist.
Blizzards hands are likely tied. If they separate, queues will get longer and people will decry the decision for racism/dignifying people who are perceived racists. If they don’t it will just continue on as is, where people have to be selective in content that matters and be frustrated in the content that doesn’t matter and is trivial, like random dungeon groups.
But also, if you see a group with a Spanish description, how does that effect you? Separating the servers further than they already are will just hide that group from you. A group which you already won’t be joining. Scrolling a little bit farther in the premade group finder is a small price to pay for faster random BG queues for red team, and faster random dungeon queues for blue team.
Don’t see why having spanish groups in the premade finder is such a big deal. Just don’t join them? The advertisers are way more prevalent and annoying.
Also, as a Brazilian American immigrant, I don’t think this is racist. It’s just really dumb. There are racists in the camp with you though. They’re dumb too.
Agreed OP, got love for all my gamers across the world, but language barriers can often create a problem when trying to do content.
One possible fix, if not separate the servers, would be to implement an auto-translator like FFXIV has.
Ah, so we got ourselves a language Karen.
Exactly why it ruins the gaming experience. Going through 100 groups and can’t join any because they’re in Spanish. Joining BG’s or dungeons queues with people I can’t communicate with. Getting excess lag and high ping from unstable latency.
did you think australians speak… what?
If you don’t like scrolling through premade groups, you’d be upset about advertisers and sales. Not the Spanish groups.
In any content that is difficult where communication matters, you can be selective of who joins. The random Brazilian guy in your normal mode leveling dungeon is no factor.
High pinglish.
