Laggy in Boralus

Hey Blizzard,

Not sure about anyone else but the game sure is laggy in boralus. Did ya all break the server again?

First thing to do is post in the Tech Support forums to rule out any possible connection issues.

it is doing it to me as well and pretty much everyone on medivh/exodar… so i do not think its packet loss or hops its something on blizz’s end for it to be everyone…

And I take that back it is all of tiragarde sound as well…

blizzard don’t own the internet.

there are a whole lot of hops between your computer and their servers, which they have no control over.

if “everyone” is having issues, ask them to post a traceroute

The lag in Boralus on US-Khadgar is awful. Given the number of folks in chat pointing it out, it seems server-wide.

Seems to be all of Tiragarde Sound, maybe? Going into dungeons like Shrine had zero lag… Stormsong Valley had minimal. Currently unplayable while in Boralus.

Can confirm severe lag in Boralus on Alleria-Khadgar.

Also severe lag on Illidan. Connected via CenturyLink fiber, no local issues.

At this time it looks like the issue has resolved for me.

Tiragarde is unplayably laggy right now on Medivh/Exodar, connected via CenturyLink ADSL in Oregon. It claims my latency is 100, which is typical for me. My brother and sister who have municipal fiber in Washington state reported that they had the same issues earlier in the day in Boralus and Tiragarde.

Adding to this that Khadgar / Alleria it is unplayable in Tirigarde Sound and has been all day. I can’t even hearth out, to be honest. Is there no one on this, though? Lots of people complaining about it and I tried to put in a ticket so someone higher up could see / investigate but it wouldn’t allow me to.

Over 12 hours later, lag in Boralus on Alleria/Khadgar is still terrible. It’s not quite as bad as it was at its worst last night (where every action was taking a minimum of 30 seconds to complete), but it’s still quite bad.

Lag is still bad in Boralus/Tirgard Sound on Exodar/medivh. Rest of the game seems to be running okay expect this area. actions are lagging 5-30 seconds behind. very hard to play in these areas.

Boralus/ Tirgard Sound is still lagging on Alleria/Khadgar.
