I have been experiencing severe lag spikes that usually last 1-3 minutes and will generally repeat a few times before going away for ~30minutes before repeating again.
The game becomes completely unplayable with MS often >5,000 (but many times just in the 1,000+ range) and then during normal periods I will see my standard ~50 MS. My character still moves freely and at some actions work too but the entire environment freezes.
In the background I can easily pull up a stream or videos without any interruption at the same time this is happened and I have troubleshot general internet issues with my ISP which did not help.
Are you and OCE player , and for all those folks that are , The Cable network map shows that the cable lines connecting us to asia and US run directly under where cyclone alfred is sitting currently , and this “I assume” could have adverse affect on the network traffic from those area’s , local speed tests show good download speed/ping. Im bouncing alot on wow , but local stuff seems fine
this has nothing to do with the cable thats ran between continent’s. people need to start realizing this isnt an ISP on their end either, that this is a sole issue that blizzard created back in dragon flight. Its just gotten worse patch by patch by patch. Some people arent affected like others are which then tells you to look at your ISP, but if your ISP comes back with passing colors and no issues, then you need to ping the server you play on. If that server or servers are experiencing bad latency issues, thats a sole issue for an level 3 I.T. blizzard support technician to say hey, we have issues that need addressed and need to get fixed asap.
