Issue: For the past week I have had very annoying lag. I had no issues like this before, but now suddenly, several times a minute, I will have a 1-2s delay in casting or anything I click on. Sometimes it’s 5s+ and in instanced content or higher populated areas it can get to 10-15s of a frozen screen/running in place and then fast forwards to catch up. My home ms climbs sometimes to 300ms or so, but world is usually hitting 400-600 and on occasion much higher.
I have run hundreds of online speed tests as well and it is inconsistent for sure. I seen download speeds of 4MB/s and then randomly 160.
Attempts to resolve: I’ve reset router/modem dozens of times. I’ve called ISP and they’ve told me the speeds look good on their end. I’ve called again and again and they sent me a new modem. I’ve disconnected the wifi from every item in house. I’ve hardlined into modem. I now have ISP coming out tomorrow (but they have warned me multiple times I will pay for this visit if they find no issue on their end… as if they strongly expect this t be the case). I have rebooted computer. I have deleted WTF folder. I have turned off every addon. I have set graphic settings to 1. I have updated every driver I can find on my computer including video and network.
I ran a pathping a few times and the numbers are very consistent with what I’m pasting below.
I’m at my wit’s end and just want to raid. Please someone help.

I think that this may be the same issue im having. I dont think its lag. It is the stutter issue that many others are having. There is a giant post about it but no one from blizzard can seem to give us a def answer. I have been putting up with it for about 7 days as well. The game is barely unplayable and super annoying…
This is not an MS issue likely. IT is probably something on blizzards end. Something in your graphics settings. I have tried everything to fix with no solution in sight yet.
Also having this same problem. Started a few days ago for me, and is making raid/dungeon/anything impossible. I have the same symptoms you have, and have also been troubleshooting for days with no luck on my end.
I’m having the same problem, no fix. I’ve disabled addons, disabled everything router reset, and new modem, still hitting 2900+ latency world latency and 190+ at home randomly.
-uninstalled all addons and addon managers
-used scan/repair tool
-followed the steps from blizzard for resetting user interface
-Clean install of WoW
-uninstalled and reinstalled drivers
-rebooted and then reset internet connection (as always I play wired connection)
Has not helped at all. Still getting the slowdown/Fast forward happening and its made the game unplayble. Yet any other game I play beside WoW runs completely fine as they always have.
At this point it seems to be an issue on Blizzards side. I assume that is why we are not getting any responses in the thread to help assist. I guess the only option I’ve got remaining is to just hang it up and cancel my sub. Either that or keep paying my sub for a game that is not working.
I am getting constant home and world ms spikes as well. Just this second my solo que finally popped after 30mins and I see my home/world is 1600 a piece. (so i didn’t take it…) It progressively goes up. Its so annoying. We had to stop quein 3’s as I went from normal (50/30) to 300/250. I can play warzone no issues. This only started off and on again since just after New years iirc.
A ton of people are having these issues, but Blizz keeps saying that they arent having any problems on their side. Its really become a frustrating problem.
