Lag on killing rares, completing WQs in Darkshore

Running a hunter in Darkshore since patch 8.2.5 went live, and there is a momentary lag now after I kill a rare, or when I complete a world quest.

Having the exact same issue. WC, Completions or chests/rares.

This a thing too. Was doing WQs and quest and felt stuttered “lag” every time I attack/killed or complete a quest. Thought it was just me.

Not just you. Been driving me nuts for a few hours.

Same issue! Game freezes for 1 second on completing a WQ. Tried clearing cache/wtf, verify files, dx11/12 nothing fixing it.

As a test, I disabled all addons in order to retest. It changed nothing. Still got the 1-second delay when killing a rare or completing a WQ.

+1. Most likely some server interaction blocking UX threads when it shouldn’t be since the patch.

Happening to me completing any quest or WQ, or opening a chest.

Happening to me whenever I gain Azerite or complete a quest. Is this related to addons in some way??

I really hope they hotfix soon. It is driving me crazy!!!

Same here has been killing the whole play experience really looking for a blue post hopefully soon!!

the problem keeps going.

Someone on EU forums posted this:
" It seems for me at least, it works also to just turn off all access permissions on the Hotfix log file in your Logs folder.

Go to your Logs folder, right click the Hotfix file.
Click Properties>Security>Select Everyone then >Edit.

Check “Deny” on everything, then hit apply.

If nothing else has worked for you, you should try if this works."

It worked for me.

This fixed has worked for me so far.

There was another update today (Sept 27, 19) and it reset my permissions back to ‘Allow’ for all the users in the Hotfix log file, but after going back into the file and applying ‘Deny’ to all the users again, the pausing bug seems to have been fixed.

Doesnt work for me, everytime i run Battlenet app ii fetch some download again and change back do Allow.

It worked for me aswell , thank you for the info

Sadly, it doesn’t work for me. I set everything to Deny for all user groups. But as soon as I restart Battle. net it performs a mini update/check and when it’s done the permissions for that file have reverted to Allow.

It’s a shame this is still an issue after two weeks without any kind of official comment at all.
