To much lag to do anything in Northrend and mobs turn grey when you soling.
This only happens in Northrend. Normal Northrend is ok. Spell can take up to 2 to 3 seconds to cast and boss takes a long time to kill.
Also mobs hit by others turn grey before I can hit them, taking away loot and xp.
Any fix for this?
i think, hard to tell, they usually die too fast to track each kill, but i think u get the currency for the kill anyway.
The lag, yes, jeez, the other day it was insane slow, like 3~7s delay.
For real. Just had a Lich King fight with probably 100 players, and it took us just about 10 minutes to beat him. No one can do their rotations properly because of the lag, which means less than optimal DPS from everyone causing it to take even longer than it needs to.
I don’t get the currency, at least it is not shown in chat.
See now that the entire Northrend is laggy. Doing the dailies for the tournament and it is laggy.
Yep. Northrend is a problem.
Lich King generates too much server lag.
The other zones don’t have this problem. If it gets laggy it’s only on the first boss cycle then enough people trickle out for it resolve itself. Lich King is just auto lag every time.
The regular mobs still have limit on how many players tag them at 5, those who party up can get mobs to gray out quickly. Tag with instant casts when you can.
Doing that and even hitting them fist, still they turn grey.
Can’t comment on the grey bit, but the lag is awful.
Zoned in, aggro’ed two mobs right off the bat, and noticed the terrible lag. Didn’t even stick around. It’s really, really bad.
Blizzard has made a decision to be all-in on open world content, and they’ve built their timed event technology around that design philosophy.
But I think it was the wrong choice.
Radiant Echoes events would have benefitted from being queueable and instanced with a 40-player limit.
They made a lot of great improvements this week, and the event is more rewarding and more playable. But the lag and the tagging issues take away from what should be an excellent event.
IDK, did some final event bosses (including LK) this morning, and the lag didn’t seem near as bad as yesterday. But then, I didn’t count how many players were in the mash of combat chaos.
Happy for the improvements they made and that things goes faster now. But if they built their timed event technology around open world content then it is strange that it is just Northrend and nowhere else.
WoW has always had problems with more than 10 people in an area without it lagging out.
I don’t know, but ever since the day TWW pre-patch went live, the lag on my machine has caused me to miss boss kills in Time Rifts, Researchers Under Fire, DF World Bosses, Radiant Echoes, and more because it won’t even show I’m there at the event/boss. It seems like even legacy raids I run with friends for tmogs is affected by this immense lag.
This is the same on the Terenas, Proudmoore and Wyrmrest Accord realms.
My computer and WOW was doing great with no noticeable lag up until pre-patch…but since I have become familiar with every kind of disconnect, lag delay, and connection problem imaginable.
What is more frustrating is that not even all the players are affected by it!!
I have done the following to try to rectify this issue:
- Disabled and kept off all addons
- Enabled one addon at a time to see if it is causing the lag
- Run the Battle.net Scan and Repair
- Replaced my WTF folders
- Checked my dedicated gaming hard drive for space (over 500GB)
- Made sure all software, drivers, apps, etc. were up to date
- And I’m sure I’m forgetting something else I’ve tried…
Was hoping the patch today (August 6th) would fix it, but apparently not.
At this point I’m just ready to try and get a refund for my TWW purchase, cancel my sub, and finally be done with this frustrating game.
I farmed the event yesterday and it seems better in Northrend now. Few days ago I had lag no matter what I did and yesterday I only had lag at the final boss. Not much but still a little lag. Maybe because there where fewer players before last boss.
