Lack of transparency

Blizzard has actively been ignoring me and to acknowledge an issue I have been trying to point out. An issue that has frustrated myself, and other players, and makes it so game play is not fun.
Their response has been “Someone will look at it, but we cannot let you know that someone has”, “Post your problem in the forums and someone will look at it”, etc.
This is a complete lack of transparency. When people send in complaints, suggestions, etc… there is absolutely no way to know these are not just being deleted, possibly stored in case they have to pull it up again later, but ignored.
Posting it on the forums attracted a few players who discussed the topic, but more trolls then anything else, and did not get any response from Blizzard directly as the GM who told me to do so swore they would. The consensus of all the players who commented on this point specifically said that Blizzard does not read the forums, does not take them into account, and that a GM sending me to the forums was more of a joke then real advise. I managed to get my issue escalated up to a manager, but there was still absolutely NO hit of customer service or transparency involved. What do you guys think? Have you had issues where Blizzard refused to acknowledge you?

This is where I stopped reading.

Odd that this thread makes no mention of the issue, which would be a pretty pertinent thing to bring up when asserting that someone is ignoring it.

Care to clarify?

Every person that points out a bug, whatever, does not deserve a personal reply.

This is not how the real world works on this level.

I don’t want people to get hung up on that… I want to talk about other’s experiences dealing with Blizzard and their customer service… not to get feedback from trolls about the actual issue.

It’s literally the most important point. If you’re complaining about being ignored on an issue that is utterly trivial or completely unique to you, or if you’re complaining about not being given information about someone else’s account or contact info, then that is absolutely relevant to the matter at hand.

If you have feedback for CS, put it in the ticket survey. It doesn’t belong on the forums. The forums are for feedback for the game.

Again, I am not here to talk about that issue. I am here to talk about Blizzard’s lack of transparency, and other’s experiences with it. If you have no input to give on that specific topic, that is fine… move along. And feedback about poor customer service about a game absolutely has to do with the game… what else would you say it has to do with? And how would Blizzard know there is a problem if we do not discuss problems that we see?

Imagine being so opaque when accusing others of not being transparent.

Not everything requires or deserves transparency. You’ve created a thread with a masked purpose of trash-talking Blizzard, but refuse to provide any context about the root of your own grievance.

You don’t see how that’s suspect? Because it’s suspect.

For someone wanting transparency…you are being very not transparent.

That being said, Blizzard CS is one aspect that has almost always been top notch with me.

Being told to post ideas and complaints on the forum is like being told to place your voting ballots in a shredder thats attached to a trash compactor.

The only communication available on the forums is a “fluffer” for the wow forums (CM’s) that do little to nothing except to try to make you feel better about the state of the game that has become trash.

Don’t confuse “feed back” with “2 way communication”.

Blizzard does not have to reply to “feedback” to take it into consideration. Do I wish there was more 2 way communication? Definitely.

But its not required within the context of what you are talking about.

That is exactly what I am wondering… that is how I feel my issue was handled, and I am just wondering if I am alone, or if that is a common thing. Thank you for your input!

I like how you ignore the person who says their customer service has always been top notch but reply to the guy who says something that confirms what you already believe.

What your issue is has a large impact on how it was handled.

Since you refuse to give us the full information, since you refuse to be transparent, you are coming across as a troll that is looking for an anti-blizzard echo chamber.

You’re certainly not alone in feeling that way, but that has nothing to do with the validity of the feeling.

Sounds an awful lot like you were submitting support tickets about making changes to the game, then? Because that’s rather akin to asking an ATM to change the interest rate on your savings account.

Thank you for your input about not having problems with Blizard CS (Not the trolling garbage of course). So you feel that when you talked to Blizzard CS they actually listened to you and resolved problems?

Not every problem was resolved how I wanted it to be. Just because I have a problem does not mean Blizzard’s solution must be what I want them to do.

I will pretend that statement makes sense some how. OH WAIT. Is this the new way to call people white knights?

So clever.

Pretty much this, yes. Refusal to reveal the cause of the grievance makes it sound like a contrivance intended to foment nothing but fruitless complaints.
