I think that’s the primary feature of BoP, right? Insurance. To protect others from themselves.
Those certainly exist. BoP is there to cheese mechanics in dungeons. I don’t think BoP needs to be a square that always fits into a square hole.
I just woke up and I’m a little hung over. Is this discussion about BoP not having a, like, use-case that WoW devs specifically devise for BoP and there to be an expected BoP or what?

Nah because if it’s insurance for mistakes then that means you already missed the window to use it effectively. These are proactive utilities.

I think this hits the nail on the head for why the spell feels bad with it being a big, thematic “You’re a Paladin - this is your special Paladin button” spell.
It’s correct use case is “cheese”
It’s “common” use case is lackluster or un-optimal play.
(this is a 5 minute cooldown the dang spell should be cool as heck man)
Edit: For comparison, Shroud of Concealment is a 6 minute cooldown. This spell is a core class identity spell, tied 100% thematically to Rogue. This is only, and could only be, a “Rogue” spell.
Even if you use this spell only once a dungeon, it feels irreplaceable. It feels like it directly rewards you for playing Rogue or bringing one.
Where is the love for BoP? Why is it such a long cd for such a forgettable effect?
