Devastation has Disintegrate, which is basically a fire breath attack you expect from dragons, color here isn’t important though.
I know there is “fire breath” available to all three specs, but that is a quick spit they do with a visual that is faster than your blink.
I know preservation has disintegrate… but they could also use their own color/version of a REAL breath spell. Same with augmentation which doesn’t even have disintegrate at the very least.
It’s cool but at the same time there’s no real use-case for it in single-target besides removing roots and ignoring incoming stuns if done right. It’s a weird PvP ability masquerading as an iconic ability.
Deep breath needs some decent, baseline synergy. Imminent destruction and onyx legacy just aren’t good enough to ever compete with iridescence/scintillation/causality. There’s just not enough points available. It has a problem similar to how bladestorm sometimes ends up, in that the damage you lose out on by not casting during its duration is higher than any damage it does in single target. I don’t know if bladestorm currently has this issue, but arms doesn’t talent that path in single target.
Like I said, a breath attack that is fitting for a dragon class in the same way disintegrate does. The other breath attacks being a quick spit, or deep breath on a 2 minute cooldown, don’t really fit that same way as disintegrate does.
