I don;t get it, every other connection, every other application that goes on the internet, even reading live news from China is running fine, fast and clean… but wow, the laag is 1400-5300 all day… what gives?

I play from somewhere in the Oceanic on the US server, and I have to agree the lag is ridonkulous for PVP / WPVP. Not sure what is going on.
Tons of threads on it going back weeks in the technical forums. The common green response is
- call to complain to your isp
- it’s damaged cables in the Red Sea
- get a vpn
So far no real solution is found. Just have to wait it out to clear up for TWW
I did try out SoD and yeah, a lot lag. Era is no problems neither is Retail.
Ping was fine all weekend. But there were some major lag spikes in AV on Era. I asked a few times if it was just me and the consensus when I asked was no everyone was getting them. Not sure if this is related.
Probably not now that I think about it. Yours seems to be with the connection. Those issues in AV seem like they might be due to something else, as the connections (reported) as fine.
