No more variations of humans, elves or anything. We need new flavors like Sethrak and Saurok.

How about an allied race that consists entirely of mimes? That would be creepy.
…It’s more like calling Orcs are connected to Ogres though. The Gnomers and Dwarves do have the Northrend connection.
Actually, Humans, Dwarves, and Gnomes share a very close connection, seeing as all three were originally different sizes of titan constructs before the Curse of Flesh happened.

They aren’t “variations of humans,” though.
Kyrian going alliance and Venthyr going horde are a good match up, waste their models and not made then playable is just dumb.
Before anyone ay “iT mAkE nO sEnSe”, isn’t like lore these days make much sense anyway with tons of incoherence’s and retcons, making then playable will not be nearly as bad compared to what they did in BfA.
We are bringing pets, mounts and other things from the shadowlands, the races there are also living beings, they can totally come to Azeroth and help us like we help then.

And yet, many of the allied races are virtually unplayed. If you look at the numbers for things like Mechagnomes and Nightborne and Lightforged, they are capped at tiny numbers. I mean, Pandarens are more popular.
My belief will always be that new races should be added sparingly to make them relevant and important, and the only restriction should be that you have an active account and can pick them on the character selection screen.
Maybe what kept the horde playing. Alliance didn’t care for our ARs.
Customization is what will keep people playing in SL. And that will take up all the art team’s time.

Blizzard itself is the source when you’re looking at the Mythic prog sweet cheeks.
Alliance has to literally pull teeth to fill their section of the race and barely fills it by the time the next raid tier comes around.
Unhide your profile so I can see all of your ‘Alliance is a dead faction’ posts.

I don’t like allied races as unlockables. I find it to be a deterrent to new/returning players to tell them to go level to max, do a bunch of rep/unlock stuff, then throw it all away and start over to play what you actually wanted.
But more races in general is cool.

Bad ideas/implementation. Almost nobody plays Nightborne because people were livid that they didn’t receive the same models as the NPCs. Mechagnomes were a stupid addition to the game that almost no one asked for. And, of course, Kul Tirans are a frumpy mess.
None of these things are problems with Allied races - they’re just a result of bad execution by Blizzard.

It did hurt the faction, look at what Mechagnomes (another variation of human) did sweetiepie. x,D
Blizzard can do what they want, but I feel like making any of the Shadowlands race playable is a waste.
Give us races that we have been asking about for a decade, and not random races you just made up for this expansion.

Ion already said in an interview that no covenant will become allied race in SL.
The concept of having allied race was fitting in the story of the war in BFA.

I would love to see Kyrians be playable. Even if they are another variation of human since (imo) the male model is much better looking than the regular human. I would race change my paladin real quick.
