Please, someone, tell me why the Kyrian Hearthstone doesn’t actually bring me back to Elysian Hold but just acts as a regular hearthstone and shares the same cooldown. Why waste 750 Anima for another hearthstone? Why is this considered a toy when it doesn’t change your appearance or do anything “special” in particular.
Like, at least make me a frigging sparkle machine or turn me into a dancing unicorn.
Cosmetic hearthstones have been around for awhile now. The major holiday events have them and there’s some others in the world.
They’re meant for fun to give shiny new hearthstone animations. They’re toys so all your characters can use them too. This time Blizz made covenant versions.
sorry I assumed it would act as a separate hearthstone to get to Elysian Hold. I really didn’t think that they would just take my anima and give me absolutely nothing.
its true, its my fault. Its still the dumbest thing to waste your anima on - and to assume that it would give me a hearthstone to Elysian Hold isn’t really a stretch.
I thought I could bind it to various inn locations in Ardenweald. It was odd, but I was thinking it would have practical uses for some people. Wish I knew about cosmetic heathstones before purchasing it. Had the description actually displayed information that was specific toward this only being a cosmetic item, of if I was aware that there are hearthstone cosmetic replacements, and that being a toy automatically means it can not possibly be a teleportation device, I would have not bought it.
But alas, I foolishly bought it. Should have researched it online, but at 750 anima it was only a couple of hours of game time, which I enjoyed so no big loss. I use it now, so I’m fine with my mistake.
I read the tootip, and bought it anyway, you know why? Because Blizzard has a history of giving you hearthstones to important locations, like…your garrison, and Dal /legion. I figured, ok, it’s probably set to your covenant, but maybe you can use it as a 2nd hearthstone?
Blizzard has created a pattern for what alternative hearthstones do, and as such, the first thing you think of as a player is, “Oh, this is like my garrison hearthstone, it’s about (&)(&)*( time as flying back here all the time really sucks”
And while were on the topic of descriptions, you know what description would have made me not even consider this? “Replaces the graphic on your hearthstone”.
Then it’s a matter of reading comprehension, as the Dalaran and Garrison Hearstones specifically say that they take you specifically to Dalaran and your garrison respectively…
There’s only one useful hearthstone in the game outside of the regular one and that’s the Dalaran HS. And maybe the garrison HS depending on how you have built it.
