This is for the Kyrian Questline Quest: “Getting Backstage”
The quest requires you to use leftover “Trick Powder” in order to progress through the quest and into the next area. However, if you don’t have any trick powder leftover, there is no way to complete this quest as the adds that dropped the powder stop dropping it once you complete the previous quest (don’t remember the name but it’s to do with “finding Grubby”.
Abandoning the questline only resets it to the beginning of “Getting Backstage”.
A possible fix for this is to have the quest NPC, Willowblossom, provide extra trick powder when you speak to her if you don’t have any.
I submitted a ticket and an in-game bug report but haven’t received a response. Wanted to see if anyone else also experienced this issue as well as get this fixed.

Not sure if you figured this out yet or not, but there’s an extra action button to turn yourself into a tree. I agree that it’s not very clear and I had to look it up myself, but once I knew what to look for, it was there. Hope this helped! Happy questing.

The thing you explained are happening to me but when i click the icon to use the dust nothing happens. ive reset it time after time, relogged with the quest on and off my quest list. I am literally at a hult with my gameplay on my main until it gets resolved. i 've been playing 7 years i know what’s up for the most part.

Having this problem as well, keep getting a “no valid target” message when I try to use the trick powder

I am having the same issue, has this been resloved?
Idk if this will work for everyone but I was in wm and someone killed me during ui reload which didn’t work but when I rezzed and clicked the xtra action button it finally turned me into a tree. So maybe dying will reset the quest somehow without abandoning it. Only a theory

My girlfriend and I have found a solutiuon for this bug until it gets fixed. She was levelling her Kyrian, and she used gravity to try and kill herself and it eventually let her press the button to transform. We tried it once more by abandoning the quest and it seemed to work. Will give updates to see if it can work again on my Kyrian

really silly way of getting around this quest: you will need TWO people and at least one person needs to have a “swap blaster,” which is an engineering item that just swaps the location of two players.
person A abandons the quest and stand on the spotlight on the left of the stage, and person B stands next to the bouncer on the same side of the stage (or anywhere they can swap blast with them), and swap blasts. person B should get credit for the first part of the quest, while also being yeeted off the stage. repeat the process for the second spotlight, and you should get credit for that part too. now just fly around the stage and collect your items and turn in the quest.
swap blasters can be bought from the auction house.
Killing myself worked. Thank you

Can confirm, killing oneself seems to work

Also can confirm,
I took off all my equipment, went out and got bapped by a squirrel, died, came back and became a tree. Just another day in Ardenweald.
Dying 100% fixes the problem. Must have quest active to work.
