I have 3 characters that whenever I take the portal to Stormwind from Boralus I end up in front of the Embassy instead of the Mage Tower. This problem is ONLY from the Boralus portal as all of the others (Dalara, Asharan, Darnassus) function as intended. I initially thought it was a Kul Tiran issue (as all of the characters are that race) but my KT Monk does not have this problem.I have dumped all of my quests and all of the allied factions are unlocked. This problem appeared with the pre patch. I have disabled addons and deleted my WTF folder as well.
I am experiencing this issue on a character I recently race changed to Kul Tiran.
Found the solution in another thread just moments after posting in this one. Katherine Proudmore is in the Harbor Master’s office in Boralus offering a quest “For the Alliance” quest https://www.wowhead.com/quest=55142/for-the-alliance .
Completing the quest allowed my Kul’Tiran to porth through to Mage Tower.
