Kul Tirans

Is anyone else disappointed in how the Kul Tirans are turning out? I mean...aside from new druid forms and shammy totems, I'm not really seeing anything really unique about them aside from, 'Oh yeah, we left the Alliance cuz Theramore'.

I mean, they have some decent customization options for the characters if you are going for certain niches but...let's be real here, they look a bit like hairless Pandaren.

But my big issue really comes into the Druid forms and the fact that they aren't just a sidebar option.

The main Kul Tiran forms are decent for Druids. We have a good aquatic form for once, a good flight form, all seems good! Until you realize that Feral spec is garbage without the Fangs, Bear Druid has been subpar at best (I don't even see them around anymore) and Resto...really doesn't require a form to play.

Balance is somewhat decent and that's where my complaint comes in. What on Thrall's green earth is that thing? It's nothing we've seen in Drustvar unlike the other forms and to be frank...it's another thing that's a bad habit for Blizz when they make Balance forms.

They are wider than the Titanic and the iceberg combined.

Like, there were a couple of hexxing wickerbeasts that were constructs. We even had to activate a few of them in a quest. Why did we not get -that- as our form? It has a beautiful design, it's new, refreshing and there's always some new detail to pick out with those eyeballs we all have.

Sure, bits of this...thing, are nice! The horns and armor are okay and...that's honestly about all I can say in good things about it. Remove that and you just have a gnarlier looking Owlbeast. Now, I get it. We've seen this a thousand times with the Worgen when they were added, alongside the Tauren, the Nelves, the Trolls- it's all pretty cut and dry.

But frankly, I'm getting tired of seeing this same old fat bird concept. It's been around since Vanilla and Blizz can/has done better! Their Zandalari druid forms are utterly stunning, even their balance form!

However, it really sucks for us Alliance folk. The forms that look good belong to specs that have become nearly trash tier since the launch of BFA, either due to lacking artifacts or the really weird power creep that BFA has created. I genuinely hope Blizz buffs our other specs because as it stands? The game forces me to go Balance if I want to use a form and I really don't want to look at another chicken amalgamation...thing, just with either ears or horns stuck onto it.

What are the community's thoughts towards this though? Maybe y'all have a perspective that I don't.
I prefer pizza over tacos most of the time
Ummmm, hmmm. Yeah I don’t know what to call that thing. Not something I’d want to be forced into as my character, but I don’t really play Druid much (though I do plan to race change to Kul Tran when I can).

Never did like laser chicken spec either though.
Moonkin are fine for Night Elves, though I would have rather they altered the moonkin skeleton over tacking it on an ogre rig. But yeah, the KT moonkin form feels very uninspired when you realize they became druids with zero connection to Night Elves.
My only complaint with the Kul'tirans is how boring their Moonkin and Flight forms are currently. Out of all the things that could've been the forms, they chose those two? Meanwhile, Zandalari Moonkin Form can fly and their flight form can run like a mount and it fits the theme of a Zandalari troll almost perfectly.

I know that isn't a big deal, but why couldn't the Kul'tirans have some interesting feature or ability come with their forms as well?

I don't mind the Flight form so much as that at least can be altered with a Legion Artifact transmog (to soften that blow). Additionally...I will say, it feels too mishmashed for my tastes. As a Wiccan myself, these themes are very inconsistent with Paganism (which is what this race appears to be based upon for druidism). The Zandalari have the best druid forms hands down, I am very happy that at least one race has good forms.
They’re big and ugly, seems like they’re forced into the game to cater to whiny fat demographic that need representation.
The problem is even fat people would rather play a “high elf” like pretty boys and girls than actually see their avatars as fatties in their fantasy game.
Sorry but that’s the harsh truth. we will soon see the player population and the extremely low representation when they’re released.

It sucks definitely. The fact that Blizz has been so lazy on so many class changes is beyond me. Removing the Artifacts? They shouldn't have even been in the game. It totally ruined the power scaling and now, everything feels like a chaotic mess.
And no pally :(

Kul'tiran moonkin is the worst design released since MoP. Whoever designed it needs to stay away from playable stuff.
I feel like the lore behind them is kinda forced just to make them a little different from Stormwind humans.

There’s really nothing about them that makes me want to roll one.
I'm making a fat female Kul'Tiran Warrior in platekini armor. I'll make her look like the female Barbarian in Diablo 3.
I'd say the KT balance form is even worse than the standard moonkin. If you look at it closely, it's shaped more like a human body than an owlbeast, and you can see a gut, back fat, and even man boobs. It's as if whoever designed this monstrosity was assigned to work on Kul Tirans against their will, and every inch of that blubbery wicker chicken is the manifestation of the designer's resentment and sheer disdain.
No, I'm ready and waiting to make a big boi warrior and get my heritage armor.

No gut no glory
This race needs more customization options. The males have 2 faces and NO FULL BEARD. When you look at the Zandalari customization, both male and female have extensive customizing options such as tattoos and jewelry.

KT humans? Hair color, hair style, skin, 1 of 2 faces.

I'm sure (I'm hoping) it's still a work in progress. Please.
I def agree with a lot of the lacking design choices and the such. I'm likely gonna make a second post to tie this all in but this time, showing just how poorly KT humans fit into WoW's universe as a whole. I know for some zones, that's meant to be the case, but when you can't even fit in ONE zone on the continents of Kalimdor/Eastern Kingdoms, I'd say there's a design issue.

Quite the opposite. I'm super excited for them. I love their big burly stature, their lore, their choice of classes. Frankly I'm just torn over what to roll. I want a KT warrior, a druid, a shaman and a monk! They all seem awesome.

I think this is some projection on your end.

I am super excited for KT humans!

That said yes the Moonkin form is super disappointing.

But at Blizzcon that form was not displayed with the other forms, so fingers crossed it might change!
