Kul ' Tiran Race Unlock Help

Hey guys, I’m a returning player after awhile, been slowly playing the new expansion but I really want to make a druid, I saw the shapeshift forms for them and I want to make one for this expansion. I think I have done one of the areas for Kul’Tiras but I just excepted the trisfal area and it didnt generate the quests. I just want to know what the fastest route to completing the achievements to get the race unlocked. I didnt know if it would make it harder seeing as Im already level 55. Please help would be very appreciated. Thank you

I have no idea but this should help.

Thank you , I watched and I know what Im supposed to do for quests, just wanted to know where I could get them. Like how can I tell how far I am in each one?

I found a more specific video kul Tiran unlock starts at 11:30. The quest completion tracker might help. I’ve never unlocked alliance races.

Awesome thank you I will try this one

Unfortunately, Kul Tirans require several dungeons to unlock, so being level 55 will make that harder. You won’t be able to use the dungeon finder for them, and they aren’t really soloable unless you can get really geared up at 60. So, you’re going to need to find some people to run those dungeons with.

I think that if you have a friend with a character at 50, you can also use party sync with them to get into the dungeon finder. (It’s not something I’ve tried myself.)

Alternately, you could do the unlock on a new character and lock their XP at 50 so they can use the dungeon finder to do all the dungeons. (You can talk to Behsten in Stormwind to lock and unlock your XP.) Looking at the wowhead quest profiler, you’ve done a decent chunk of Drustvar, but nothing really in the other zones.

You could take a new character through Exile’s Reach, and follow the tutorial to BfA and just follow the content through each zone. As Kul Tiran’s require you to do the main story for each zone to unlock the final story chapter, you’ll only really lose the time you spent in Drustvar on your current character. By the time the new character hits 50, you’ll have a bunch of the story stuff you need already finished. For the War Campaign part, once you hit 50, you can get the quest “A Dying World” from the Earthen Guardian NPC a bit outside the Inn in Boralus. That will let you pick up your Heart of Azeroth and continue the War Campaign. (The same applies if you decide to use your current character.)

Another option if your frustrated and money isn’t an issue. The 1-50 character boost is on sale in the shop. This assumes you would be able to queue for those dungeons after a boost to 50 I don’t know. Most people have multiple characters.

I forgot to mention last night for future reference. You tube often has videos on specific quests and specific achievements just search for the names.

@Udiza This is super awesome, thank you so much  I was just thinking I could make a new druid as like another race then do a race change once I unlock them. Either way is fine because I have a few level 1s I want to level anyway too. Seems like making a new character is the fastest route. I didn’t know you can track someone’s quest completion in wowhead that’s cool. @Astryss I have a level booster from when I got the pre-purchase I could look further into it and maybe try that too if that allows me to get into the dungeons faster.

I probably wouldn’t use a boost to unlock Kul Tirans. Given that you have to do all the Kul Tiras questing either way, you might as well save the boost and just use the questing you already have to do to get to 50.

Extra characters are always useful to have around. Aside from getting to learn other classes* it also means you can cover more professions reducing your reliance on the AH.

*Unless you just make lots of druids. You can never have enough druids.

Farming old raids for mounts and transmogs is much faster with multiple characters too.

@Udiza okay I will take your word for it. I just really kinda wish I did more in BfA. Though I also was playing on horde then and playing alliance now as I come back. I just like having one of each class for fun and then different races for the characters I play. @Astryss I have been doing old raids for gear and mounts for awhile. My friend for fun about a few weeks ago was playing Sunwell for fun and got Ashes.

I completed Nations United and not sure what to do next. I went to WowHead and found the quest limes for Tides of Vengeance, but aren’t available to me. Is it a reputation thing? Thanks in advance for any responses.

Tides of Vengeance is the second major segment of the War Campaign, and you’ll have to do the earlier parts before you get access to it. In order to do any of the level 50 parts of the Campaign, you’ll need to unlock World Quests before you’ll get access. Once that’s done, each piece of the campaign will start with Halford Wyrmbane on the boat in Boralus Harbor. Sometimes you’ll get a quest leading you back there after you finish a segment, sometimes you don’t, so keep heading back to him when you run out of quests.

To unlock World Quests:

  1. Get your Heart of Azeroth. The Earthen Guardian NPC will have the quest “A Dying World” to start this. For Alliance, the NPC is near the Boralus Inn. For Horde, they are near the Zuldazar Harbor flightpath.
  2. Unlock World Quests. The quest you need to complete for this is “Uniting Kul Tiras” (A)/“Uniting Zandalar” (H). On your first character, you’ll need to do the 3 foothold quests to unlock the boat travel to the 3 zones of the other faction for this quest to be available.

Thank so much for the response. The character I’m using to do this I’ve locked him at 50, but do I need to be above that level in order to move on? For example, I’m not seeing The Earthen Guardian NPC outside the Boralus Inn.

Level 50 should be fine. Are you not seeing the NPC at all or do they not have the quest? The NPC isn’t right outside, they’rea bit away from it, so make sure you aren’t just missing them.

If they don’t have the quest, see if the Boralus portal room will let you go to Silithus and see if Magni has the quests for it there.

Oh my goodness, I’m a dummy! Okay, so I think I’m on that part. I went to Silithius did one quest and then no others were available. Then I went back to Boralus and quested more trying to figure out what to do. Eventually, Cyrus offered a quest where we took a ship and were trapped in some place by that Fishy Queen (Azshara?). Got to a point where Jainia created a portal back to Boralus and that little guy showed up again saying to find him. So I guess I need to head back to Silithus for more quests there? Thanks again!!

That’s the Naz’jatar intro you described, which means you’re well past the step I was talking about. (The quests magni has there are needed to unlock some of the later content, but not the War Campaign. Although, now that you’ve started them it’s probably a good idea to follow through until Magni sends you back to Naz’jatar to prevent any phasing weirdness.

All of the War Campaign quest segments start with Halford Wyrmbane on the boat. If he doesn’t have anything for you, it might mean that you did part of one of the segments and didn’t complete the chain. Check the world map for any “!” in the Zandalar zones which should mark any dropped quest threads. (Also, check your quest log for anything in progress.)

The other thing I can think of involves the level 50 boosts. Was the character a boost, and when did you boost them? (Before 9.0, during the pre-patch, or after Shadowlands launched?)

I really, REALLY appreciate you responding. So yes I finally figurered out to talk to the captain to take to Voldun and the first quest I can get there is called “Pests.”

Am I on the right track?

“Pests” is a side quest thing that opens up the Jani quests. (And is mostly just a fun thing.) It’s not part of the War Campaign.

Was the character you’re doing it on a boost?

sorry, no I leveled him up. I actually tried originally with this Paladin, but once I hit 51 couldn’t join the dungeon finder. So I went with a Priest (really enjoying the class).
So, I guess I’ll just keep doing the quests from Zandalar until I get "Uniting Kul Tiras.

Thanks again, and believe I’ll be coming back here for more help if/when I get stuck again!!!
