Kul Tiran models are NOT body positive

Let’s discuss how the Kul Tiran models are NOT body positive.

Forcing players who want to roll human into a specific body type without offering any customization is the definition of body negativity. Body positivity is about CHOICE. Fix this Blizzard. It’s 2020. Allow choice/customization of the KT model or allow regular humans to roll shaman/druid and KT humans to roll pally and warlock.

Kul tirans are not obese. They have healthy proportions for naturally muscular people.

Which means they aren’t “body positive”, because actually fat humans look nothing like them.

It’s not about glorifying anything. It’s about giving player’s choice. Why do you care if someone wants to roleplay as a big human.

They absolutely are obese. They have way too much weight around their midsections.

I have met many people in RL with those proportions, and they could break you in half.

Large =/= fat.

Actually obese people don’t really have any shape. Their mass “pools” around wherever is closest to the ground. Kul Tirans don’t do that, because their mass is all muscle, which doesn’t flop around like fat does.

Yea…this thread is unique, thoughtful, interesting, and totally necessary. My mistake for clicking the link.

You act like someone has some stupid chimpanzee brain.

“Well if my character look like that then maybe I should!” noms pizza

No one is that stupid.

Ehhhhhhh not all the time. Body positivity can be more than just weight issues

I think the legs are too thin on the males. Guys with that much heft shouldn’t have a thigh gap. Kinda makes em look off a bit.

At some point I wish Blizzard never added any allied races.
It would have saved so much headache.

Sad, but true in so many ways.

At the same time though, I wouldn’t want to lose my Dark Irons or Zandalari

Agreed:

Let’s add those two as full races and call it a day!

Whether or not you think the models are obese or not (and I do think most medical professionals would put KT’s in the overweight/obese/morbidly obese cateorgories)
the fact that the player picks their gender and class but Blizzard determines their BMI is a really bad idea. Blizzard should fix this by offering choice.

BTW: I love my thicc boy KT and wouldn’t change his body type to thinner if it were made available. Blizzard needs to offer CHOICES for the human models.

I was going to make a joke about fatties. Unfortunately, my lawyer determined that this is as much of the joke as I can legally provide.

Oh Jesus. This is what we complain about now? What’s body positive is our next major complaint? Kul Tirans are fine. The player Kul Tirans are meant to be the big boys. You’ll live.

Can we discuss how I don’t care?

Wait… I don’t care.

You have vision problems.

I think the male model is fine. They look like Power Lifters who are anything but obese.

I would have preferred the female models though to have looked more like Zarya from Overwatch. They don’t look like large, muscular women. They actually do look fat.
