Kul Tiran least played Race

So let me get this straight. Blizzard, for the expansion titled “Battle for Azeroth” had two new races as their flagship Alliance and Horde races. Kul Tiran and Zandalari.

Now Zandalari have lore going back to Vanilla with Zul’gurub, and recieved lots of lore in MoP and Isle of Thunder.

Now Kul Tiran just appears out of nowhere, I mean they used to be just regular humans like in Tol Barad, but now they are Ogre people with shaman powers. And not only that, Blizzard seemingly are so behind they need several months to finish Kul Tiran so Zandalari can be played Horde side.

Now once they are released, they are the least played race in the entire game. The flagship Alliance race for BfA. Bravo Blizzard, what an amazing use of time and money on a race almost no one plays and who almost no one is interested in. You really know your audience.

technically, kul’tirans were in warcraft 3… y’know, when we killed jaina’s dad? so… out of nowhere’s a bit of a stretch. sure, they did’nt show up in vanilla, but they were in the lore.

how Kul Tiras “appears out of nowhere”?
It´s a part of the Seven Kingdoms and a major player during the Second War

Battleships from Warcraft 2 are technically all part of Kul Tiras’s navy

what’s the problem with buff humans?

no need to get mad, i’m just saying they were there. sure, they were’nt big guys then, but they were there. also, calling them ogre-people is a little… well, wrong. ogres have teeth sticking out of thier mouths, and wear sumo cloths. kul’tirans clearly don’t.

i won’t deny it’s dumb they needed time to finish kul’tirans, but they intended to have dark-irons come out with zandalari… but i guess someone decided that they needed to have kul’tirans come out so… well, they shot themselves in the foot.

also, as far as them being least-played, i think that might have to do with the required achievements/rep-grind to unlock them. i mean… pride of kul’tiras needs a handful of dungeons to get.

that’s the only thing I’m gonna give to you, all the rest is up to debate but this part is true.
I like KT model but I know I’m in the minority, blizzard choosing to make them big and spend all the extra effort to end with race that most people don’t want really show they are out of touch with their player base or that they just don’t care and did it anyway because they needed to be different.
earlier someone even posted about how no big KT has a major role in the KT factions lmao, sad sad

Yeah, I don’t get OP’s logic here. If you want to talk about a race that appears out of nowhere, Void Elves fit that description.

I think the OP’s implication is that they, as a model and culture, came out of nowhere. They were just another Human Kingdom that looked like normal humans til BFA, so there were few requests for them.

What’s really gonna make it funny is when horde eventually get ogres, or whatever the half ogres are called, using the KT model lol. Alliance paving the way for more awesome horde races!

(I would love KT fwiw, if the female faces were varied and fierce)

This is my assumption as well. KT are just an ogre prototype.

They’re a new race that requires a rep grind. Goblins have been around for a long time now and were the least played race before ARs and got a “fix” to make us ugly as sin.

except we’ve had non-playable ogres for a long, LONG time now, and they got updated in WoD?

Playable honey. Playable. Those are typically different than the actual NPCs you see as they have a different set of requirements and constraints.

fair enough on the playableness, but i don’t think horde would want ogres built on kul’tiran skeletons. pretty sure they want the moonkin-bodied ones. atleast… as far as i can tell… never really asked people who want ogres… hmm…

Blizzard, unfortunately, doesn’t particularly care about the details some players would want.

I would love to play a Kul Tiran human. Just a shame I don’t have them unlocked yet.

You guys need to do bg, lfr and get out more. They say no one plays Panda here. They all over the place. No one plays Kt and they are everywhere i go in war mode with that annoying knock back. Basically you guys need to play more. Cause they everywhere i have been. The only two races you do not see often is iron dwarfs and nightborne.

Yeah if Horde faction were treated the same way as Alliance faction by the devs, you’d be told your not getting Ogres, Kul Tiran Ogre people are your compromise.
