Kul-Tiran and Mechagnome Unlocks not available

Brand new to the game, started playing maybe a week ago. I saw the Kul-Tiran race in the character creator after I hit level 10 or 20 on the free trial and decided “fk it, I’ll sub” after I realized I wouldn’t have to buy previous expansions.

Followed a long and outdated guide only to find out that the unlock quest for the race should be available at the embassy right at hitting level 40, however it is missing. Mechagnomes quest isn’t in the embassy, either, and I have the achievement for finishing the dungeon.

Your guide was out of date.

  • The prerequisites have been removed entirely.
  • The only requirement now is to have an Alliance character at level 40.

You have 13 levels to go.

The character that I did all of the work on is level 60. All of the other alliance race unlocks are available and I’ve done them except for the mechagnomes which I’m currently working on. Still there is no quest available at the Embassy to unlock the Kul-Tiran race, nor anywhere else that I’ve been able to see.

And that’s your problem. You can’t have two allied race unlock campaigns active at the same time.

Finish Mechagnomes and the Kul-Tiran quest should become available.

I had the Lightforge, Void Elf, and dwarf quests active all at once and available all at once, so I don’t see how that could be it, but I’ll give it a shot.

After getting the achievement for completing the dungeon at the end of the Mechagnome quest line, there is no recruitment quest in the Embassy for them. There is still no sign of a quest for the Kul-Tirans, either.

I am in the same boat! I unlocked Kul-Tiran and Dark Iron Dwarves easy. I unlocked the Mechagon Zone, did the initial quests through the Dungeon, and now… nothing. Flying back and forth Stormwind and Mechagon, and no quests. While searching (which led me to this post) I saw that it may still require Revered with Rustbolt Resistance… is this true? Anyone?

I found this, I’m going to try w Nazjatar:

To unlock Mechagnomes, you need to unlock the quest Urgent Care.
To unlock Urgent Care, you must unlock Mechagon.
To unlock Mechagon, you must unlock World Quests in Nazjatar.
To unlock World Quests in Nazjatar, you must complete part of the Nazjatar campaign, including a detour to Silithus from Brann.
To complete part of the Nazjatar campaign, you must unlock Nazjatar.
To unlock Nazjatar, you need to Obtain the Heart of Azeroth.
