They did add the extra valor tiers so your alts would still be able to upgrade gear. But yes, I guess if that is the way you look at it.
I guess you could say this is the classic Blizzard monkey paw. Player screamed for them to fix boosting…well it’s fixed.
I suppose Blizzard is doing some business with

do you have a source for “we did this to stop boosting”? and isn’t that contradictory when 90% of GD is convinced blizzard is deliberately designing to encourage boosting?
maybe they just didn’t think KSM was an appropriate name for an achievement you could get without ever touching tyrannical week
No, there is no source…but if you look at the impact you can see that the changes will have a negative effect of boosting
For PVP, you have to be capable of winning a match weekly to keep your rating or else your score will decay…making boosting not worth it
For PVE, you have to do 16 dungeons for KSM and it only applies for one character…making boosting very expensive and not worth it
Remember how shadowlands was going to be way better for alts. And the Valor upgrades came in 9.05 and everyone was pretty stoked because this meant you could upgrade alts as gear catch up.
This change makes no sense. It’s not anti booster, it’s just unfun.

Yes, 2+ million gold plus it only applies to 1 toon vs your whole account.
Not true its point based so you could do it in 8-15 if you did higher keys
Once again Blizzard showing how out of touch they are; people defending this company are just looking more and more desperate to convince people a game is good.

I believe the math for only 8 came out to requiring +24s…

Yeah the thought was more doing 14 at +17 or so as for example I have never done SD so I couldnt tank it at a 15 on my first run.
Too many white knights defending bad decisions from a company, These people are not your friends they provide a service and when they make it worst they should pay for it.

I completely agree, their is a lot of that happening all over the place encouraging worst game design.
It’s like people are cheering bad designs left and right. It kind of reminds me of how some people felt about the Hummer when the market was changing.

Yeah their was another thread earlier today arguing that Mythic Gear should be removed after that tier ended. So get less content for the same money.
