I was messing around in LFR Nighthold collecting transmog and got to Krosus and turns out the new Tiger Palm(not sure if this is a talent of just how the skill works now) that pulls you towards the target will actually throw you off the bridge killing you instantly if you use it on Krosus. I imagine because Krosus has a full unseen body below the water level that it tried to target thus throwing you into the water to hit it. I have not tried this on any other difficulty other then LFR thus far.
There are a lot of “teleport to your target” skills you don’t want to use on a target like Krosus, or Kromog before him, or Kologarn before him.
Pretty much always been that way.
Its not teleport to in the traditional sense you lunge towards Krosus and is throws you under the bridge and does not stop at where the bridges ends where the boss stands.
“Lunge” and “teleport” are the same mechanic with different graphics.
If the devs choose to make that spell safely usable in that circumstance, so be it. But they haven’t done any such thing for rogues (Shadowstep, Kikling Spree) since middle of Wrath, so I don’t envision it being a priority.
Ok I’ll have to see if the lunge is baked into the spell now or if its a talent, I can understand an optional ability being weird but this is a WW monks primary builder so hopefully its just something I can untalent.
The specific example I can think of was that for the short time that Shadowstep was built into a rogue’s stealth openers (either talent or by glyph, can’t remember), Shadowstep only engaged if you weren’t already in melee striking range with your opener. So the answer was to step into melee range before starting, no talent or glyph change required (assuming that was how it was… it was a long time ago and I have never mained rogue so I haven’t devoted that much memory to the specifics).
It’s the Skyreach talent, a bottom node in the windwalker tree. I removed it from my monk because it makes me motion sick. It seems to jerk you slightly forward even if you are already in melee range. It is just nauseating to be snapped around so frequently.
Thank you =)
