I have multiple characters who added Krokul Ridgestalkers to my champions list and they came in with no abilities (no Veteran of Argus trait) and do not contribute to the missions the are needed for. This issue only surfaced after the update on 6/29. No issues before then.
Edit: This is not limited to krokul ridgestalkers . All new recruits that are added have no abilities.

Can’t complete the ilvl 900 items quests, all follower have no powers.

I also have this problem. Seems like the troops created before the update still affect success chance. If your class has a way of regenerating Vitality (via a item won from mission or a champion trait) I’d use it to keep those troops from dying.
They appear in your recruit list with a silver ring , instead of green or blue. No powers, no perks. They add little to nothing on missions. This goes for every troops: Felguard, black harvest, swarm, krokul… Really a bummer. Hope it get solved soon.
I’m dealing with this now and it really sucks. hopefully they have something sorted tomorrow.
I was aware of this. Someone who spoke no English was trying to get help in my class hall this morning having to do with the mission table, so I presume it was about this issue. But my spanish was not good enough to explain what they needed to know or fully understand the problem they were having.
Nothing in the Hotfixes, but it looks like these are fixed now.
