Kothev - Rubber Banding Thread

Well I used DDU to uninstall my drivers, got the one linked from this for the 1060… and I am still experiencing the stuttering, and rubber band lag. Every 5 to 10 seconds I lag out for 2-3 seconds then the frames play catch up. I recently resubbed, but I cannot do any serious content beyond LFR. Cannot do Mythic+ like this or normal raiding. This seems to be a common issue, and I have no idea why this hasn’t had an official post talking about it. I’ve done just about everything suggested on these forums. I’m at a loss, and there is no point in playing if I am limited to LFR and WQ

Rubber banding is generally a connection issue not a graphics issue. You will want to start a new thread with a winMTR

  1. Download WinMTR
  2. Extract the contents of the .zip file to your desktop.
  3. Open the WinMTR folder, then open the folder that matches your version of Windows (32-bit or 64-bit) and run WinMTR.exe.
  4. Enter the IP address you want to test in the Host field. Select a game from the dropdown below for a list of IP addresses.
Note : If multiple IPs are listed, run a WinMTR test for each IP address.
  5. Click Start , then launch the game you’re testing. If no connection issue is found in the first 5 minutes, restart the test.
  6. When a connection error occurs, play for at least 5 more minutes, then click Stop in WinMTR.
  7. Click " Export Text " and save the .txt file to your desktop. Name this file WinMTR.
  8. open the file above select all copy and past to this thread

I’m not seeing an option or drop down menu to select the game to test before I run WoW

Kothev,

Merged this to its own thread to prevent it from confusing the other thread it was in. This first line shows some serious problems between your PC and router. I’d power cycle your PC/Router and if you’re on wifi, swap to ethernet. If neither works, snag a new winMTR and let’s see what changed.
