Korthia is the best zone so far

I think Blizzard really got this zone right. It’s small enough to easily get around but big enough that it has interesting features. I love the treasure items that are scattered around like Easter eggs and the frequent bosses that appear. It’s sort of a weird, Alice In Wonderland vibe but it’s not the dark and depressing feel of the Maw. I hope they make more zones like this one.

Glad you’re enjoying it. I dislike it :man_shrugging:

I liked it at first but it was finally the piece of content that made me realize I just don’t want to log in and do the same stuff in WoW on a daily basis. But it is one of the better things to come out of Shadowlands. I think I still prefer post-launch content like Timeless Isle or Mechagon to Korthia though, simply for the brighter atmosphere.

I don’t mind it…I’ll say this - I’ve spent enough time there, that if flying is added in the future, I’ll head back and look around from above and reminisce a bit.

They seemed to understand that they messed up other zones by making them unnecessarily complicated to navigate, a trope they’ve relied on far too long. The one annoyance remaining is the gated grapple point that makes no sense, and the stupid puzzle to keep from getting dismounted at the entrance portal that makes even less sense.

It’s sort of like the Timeless Isle dragged into Hell. Definitely interesting though getting quite stale by now. That’s why I think they should keep the Mage Tower open until 9.2. People are bored with Korthia now unless they add something to it, and I rather doubt that.

I think there’s some very interesting lore in Korthia, and like every other zone, wish they went deeper with it.

It’s OK.
Not horrible, but not great.

I like all the chests and stuff, and the rares are always fun.
The environment though doesn’t make sense to me. It’s like I don’t really get why the jailer would give two poops about this place, even our basecamp is nothing really.

Seems like we are fighting there to protect a whole lot of nothing.
Keep in mind I’m not a lore nut so I don’t know all the lore reasons to be there, so I’m sure there must be some reason, I just don’t know or care enough to go look it up.

It’s their closest attempt and recapturing the magic of Timeless isle so far, imo.

WoD had tanaan jungle, which shouldn’t even count as it was supposed to be out way before the final patch. And the content did not meet 2 patches worth of work.

Legion had Broken Shore, booooooo. It was kinda fun day one, then Blizz nerfed the ship.
And Argus, which was a mixed bag. I enjoyed the mount farming, but the gated sub-zones really killed it.

BFA had Mechagon and Nazjatar.
They werent really exciting treasure style zones. They were decent story and daily quest zones, but that was it.

Korthia is missing a big rare, something people want to farm on repeat, Timeless isle had multiple of these. It has a lot of decent stuff though.
Also the zone design isn’t annoying. It’s fairly flat and mob density is decent, but pocketed so you can path around it, which makes it easy to traverse, I like it.

Sunday was yesterday.

I’m not sure the relevance of 99 Luftballons but this is quite catchy and toe tapping.

This has to be a troll post…

I think Korthia was good when they added that grapple point at the west edge of the south island.

Prior to that, having to hoof back to town to get across was a pain.

As a casual it kept me busy for awhile. The placement of some of the mushrooms were pretty annoying since the pathing on a lot of the terrain made no sense. Overall, I thought it was mediocre and forgettable.

As everything reported to Maw, I didn’t feel like it.
it’s less unpalatable than the rest of the maw and is the only positive thing I can say about the place.

If I’m going to look at the history of the place, then I’m reminded of how badly sadoland itself is written and forced down our throats like something epic, when it’s tragic.

I did it during launch but as the queue walked, finally danuserland bored me.

I just came back to post for a while on the forums, make some gold and get the birthday mascot. In another 15 days, I will stop for 1 or 2 months, depending on what Blizzard feels like adding. Or not.

For how little they are forcing themselves to do in so many areas, I don’t even know if they want characterless players or bots that will gobble up anything they happily do.

Have Mercy!

it’s the last part “Now I’m standing here looking pretty, in the dust that…was a city. If I could find a souvenir, just to prove the world was here.”.

Doesn’t really make sense when you consider Taravesh the “city of secrets” is technically still standing, but looking at Korthia open world it kinda makes sense in that the city isn’t there XD.
