BLUF – Bliz locked korthia grappling points behind covenant campaign completion even for alts
Excited for the new “alt friendly” 9.1.5 I started playing a max level alt… wanted to grind some korthia when I noticed I don’t have grapple points… Well, after much wasted time researching–yup I have to finish the covenant campaign on my alt (a covenant I already completed on my main) and then the Last sigil chains of domination story line will unlock allowing me to get grapple points.
If we aren’t going to get credit for covenants completed on other toons at least unlock other content so they are not gated behind a long and boring covenant campaign already completed. Well that is if the intent is to be “alt friendly”…

They really should not tie rare summoning stuff to things like that wow. That will be dissapointning to run into on alts since they changed there mind on the ptr.

I never used them and I am almost tier 6 rep there so I have been playing a month or so. I didn’t even know they existed.
Oh I lied - maybe I did use them - that one boss is on those islands.
oh I just skip that area if there isn’t a quest there and can’t fly.
easy travel to where yorik is (vault of secrets area) especially when in the rift plane…
This is just another downstream negative of wanting to do away with flight so they can build tiny single player maps with grappling hook and parkour game play.

super good for treasures and rares…yorik until they nerfed him earlier this week was insane…
That’s pretty ridiculous. Thanks though, was frustrating trying to figure out why I couldn’t get them.
The only one I ever use is the one to get to the southern island, and you can fly there.
Though it being a minor issue doesn’t mean they shouldn’t fix it. Just make grapple points account wide.

Pulling Krevia is impossible without them. But yes, South Island ease of access.
Nope, there is a mount that will take you over there. It’s inside the Korthia base zone.
Well the grapple points don’t exist until you do the quest where they are created. But there is 2 reasons to go there. A rank 4 or 5 treasure or pull the Relic Breaker. Thats it. No other reason at all
Grab some Goblin Gliding Kits off the AH. I use those all the time to reach inaccessible areas.
Ah, I see, I read the OP wrong. I thought he was talking about the ones in the Maw. Apparently he means specifically the ones in Korthia.
Yeah, it’s stupid having to use two rift keys if you want to do the vault too.

Not when you are in the rift – mount not available…making it available would not be as good but acceptable option imo
