Is it true you can level super fast to 120 doing only Korrak’s Revenge BG?
yes
Only works for the Horde.
Every minute, on the minute, that you spend in Korrak’s Revenge, you will gain ~3.5% of a level
Daily quests will reward ~20% of a level, per quest. Daily Quest examples:
Armor Scraps
Towers and Bunkers
Alterac Valley Graveyards
Capture a Mine
Losing the BG grants 50% xp of a level
Winning the BG grants 100% xp of a level
There are 4 towers in Alterac Valley. For every tower that your team destroys, you will gain ~7% of a level.
So it’s most effective at higher levels of leveling.
10-60 it is faster to dungeon spam, 60-100 is on par with dungeon spamming. 100+ AV is faster.
Cool, cool. Is 1-60 dungeon spam still faster than questing? I didn’t know that.
Not sure about the comparison between dungeon and questing, tbh. Just stating in general to AV and dungeoning.
No. I use Mercenary mode on my Horde alts because I’d rather the ~2 min queue time over 15+ min. Those alts have still leveled quickly.
1 to 90 is faster to level through quests. That is accounting for full loom set up and that you know the zones you are doing well enough to not break a rhythm. Once you hit 90, you can hit AV and roll your way to 120 in a day.
EDIT: Contrary to what people will say inside the AV matches, AFK or questing inside the BG will NOT be very efficient. Best way I have found is to be very proactive in the game. Like @Barakwa mentioned, destroying but also capping flags gives tons of Exp. Last night I got 6 levels on a single AV because I capped GY’s and Towers about 12 times.
Nope, works for Alliance too. Maybe not as “super” fast but fast enough. One level at least from one losing game (or halfway). It’s been pretty awesome.
still works for alliance, you just not getting big “win” xp boost. Xp that you get by just playing is still there
And it’s still way faster and way more fun than BFA questing
It’s really fast. I leveled my warrior from 111-120 in one night. Only won a few matches but it didn’t really matter. Only thing that will make it slow is if both teams turtle their bases. If that happens just leave, wait for the deserter debuff to fall off and requeue for a quick win or loss.
Did 111-120 in a few hours yesterday AND got the ram mount. Every 60 sec you get 30k XP just for sitting there, and a full extra level if your team wins (half a level if it loses).
Faction doesn’t matter. Horde is just a bit faster because we win a lot.
Spoken like someone who’s never bothered to queue for it on an alt.
muh horde bias
Lol the meta is complete. Now you benefit from the horde imbalance with the one thing alliance have in their favor. I suppose you’re one of the mouth breathers charging for snowfall as well?
You realize why mercenary mode exists, right? The reason Alliance queues are faster is because not as many people are queuing on their side. If Horde is indeed favored, then I’m giving up my faction’s benefit.
I haven’t completed Korrak on any character, nor have I attempted to.
But sure, go ahead and make assumptions based on absolutely nothing but some bizarre, unfounded outrage and make accusations with no basis in reality. Clearly that makes me the “mouth breather.”
If you have something of substance to contribute, I’m happy to have a discussion. If you just want to be angry and make sad attempts at insulting people, I would encourage you to go try to actually accomplish something first.
Well there’s bits of truth in here so gratz. But your benefit on the horde side is winning. Your benefit alliance side is fast queues.
The fact that horde can now contribute to losses while benefiting from queue timers is a problem.
Maybe you’re one of the few that actively try to win, but I doubt it. Because that’s how math works.
Not that fun as melee though. Especially warrior. Fun as DK because of grip.

Well, there’s a few screenshots there that might help. Admittedly not from Korrak’s, but I queue as Alliance fairly often. In large part because I mained Alliance from classic until the Legion.
Am I perfect? No, of course not. I make mistakes, I don’t always make the best decisions and I don’t purport to. But the idea that anyone who mercs is just trying to get quick wins/losses is rather ridiculous. Not to say that no one does that, but it’s certainly not the majority.
I don’t want long queue times, but I do want to play the game. I didn’t get to my ilvl so that I could stand around doing nothing.
if your 100 and above yes, below 100 the xp is bad vs questing.
