Korrak's Revenge is such a disappointment

I don’t understand why Blizz changed how the scaling worked from the first year. As someone who enjoys max pvp and xpoff pvp, it offered the best of both worlds. Players could enjoy old content, gearing with gems, old legendaries, and current gear (azerite at the time) was still BiS.

Now that it’s just another max level BG, there’s really nothing special about it. If you’re max and well-geared it’s no different than any other BG. If you’re a BiS geared twink, you’re going to have around 15k health and be stacked up against 45k-50k+ health players.

The only issue I remember from the first year was the amount of exp it gave to low levels (resulted in afk players). Nerfing exp seems like an easy fix to this, but I could be missing something?

TL/DR: Current KR is incredibly boring (imo). Fix the scaling. Let low levels feel like they’re making a difference, and let max players enjoy old gear/leggos. This is an anniversary event… it doesn’t have to be perfectly balanced, but it should be unique/fun

It’s like they have no idea what people enjoy. The first Korrak’s was an absolute blast. Had so much fun levelling and pvping on relatively equal footing with people. I just queued on my 50 rogue to check it out and the first player I ran into had 4x my HP, lol.

The no scaling killed this for me. Totally agree, when korrak’s came out the first time I had a blast and leveled so many characters up to max that way. The scaling is completely scuffed so it is impossible to do at low levels. Won’t be doing this at all past getting 200 badges on my main.

the xp you get is not as good as it used to be, also the bracket balance is really bad, 14k players vs 60k ones.

Yep. Can you blame the pups? 1st was great. Now they sit down…

Seriously what was even the point of letting all levels que when the result is geared 60s running the entire bg it should of just been a 60 only que and let people complain about that but at this point theres literally no point to even que for it for the literal reason it was meant to be qued for

Might as well just enjoy the free wins, some ez games tonight.

900 honor for afking/getting spawn camped by horde

Honestly, I’d rather lose a game that I had fun playing than win the current version. Blizz could triple the honor reward, and it still wouldn’t make up for the wasted potential of KR

Qued into this remembering what the XP was like. Looked and I was scaled to 60 (toon was lvl 52) and I was in a BG with a bunch of 60s at 17k. Also the XP was hardly worth even being in there for how long some of those games last. I could see nerfing the XP a little from the first year, but it should still have like a 50 to 59 bracket that scales like any other lvl 50 to 59 BG. Won’t que for it again even on my 60s. Not worth the time. Rewards are still the same, nothing new to gain. Honor isn’t even that good.

See the funny thing to me is when something PvP is good and players are having fun and leveling toons (I leveled so many the first year) they nerf it. Meanwhile while they nerfed it a little Timewalking still gives really good xp and timewakling is up more than ONCE a year.

is it ironic that the only fun korraks was the one everyone could twink in or no?

No I enjoyed it the first year because I could actually level toons quickly through it all while doing PvP. Now you get crap XP and scaled to 60 but with like 13 to 17k health against 40 to 60k health actual lvl 60s.

like rain on your wedding day?

More like a free ride when you’ve already paid.

hey @Morti do you post over on reddit?

Could’ve sworn I saw a username with “Morti” in it, but not sure, I mostly just skim thru there looking for the good/upvoted comments.

But anyways, yeah, Korrak AV kinda boring if you’re playing it as a solo-pug. Played 3 matches earlier but honestly I have more fun playing regular epics. I noticed a lot of pugs just doing their daily/PvE quest and then immediately leaving.

I took a peek over into GD forums and GD’ers are not happy either, pretty much all the casuals are complaining about the nerfed XP and how it’s not as fun as before.

I do post on reddit, but rarely.

So that’s the kind of music Horde sings during pre-gate!
