I don’t need it anymore honestly because the bronze token gains from there aren’t worth spending however many minutes in that trash looking zone, but last week I didn’t mind the mobs hitting hard at all.
Because all I wanted was the 500 honor or whatever so I just ran around doing random things, sometimes dying to archers and watching stuff on my other screen until it was done. Hope everyone else in that AV enjoyed my contribution.
You think old AV, the actual AV from classic when it was live was fun, and so did I.
But looking back we need to understand why. We had three BG’s, AV, AB and WSG and that was it, world PVP was basically non-existent, raiding was a slog, dungeons were slow and cumbersome, so the only way we could get some enjoyment on a mass scale was AV.
I recall when the first guild ever, back when you could go premade, went and done an 8 minute AV, that changed the landscape, from there we started coming up with strats and the game started changing.
We now have a dozen BG’s, an LFG queue system, world PVP is a little better, there are things to do and ways to go around mass murdering things to have that engagement and enjoyment that we no longer need the old AV style of games.
Was great for sure. Haven’t messed with KR anniversary event since they nerfed the good xp. People camping out in the mines, and hiding down in the valley below Dun balder soaking up the xp not participating at all is why the xp got nerfed into the ground.
the game mode isn’t meant to fill a need. the old-timey feel is the entire point.
What’s funny is so many people were using it to level, and it seems Blizz didn’t like that.
So it was completely neutered.
And now … leveling is the most after-thought part of the game. It’s the easiest it’s ever been, then we get a buff, on top of a buff, on top of a buff (5x over); and now the Annv buff, which has another Annv buff, a Halloween holiday buff, and we’re about to get a DMF buff!
Basically hit a rabbit, and be max level.
Oh but … you know… nuke content people enjoy.
If ridiculously bad decisions were painful, Blizz would be on a morphine drip.
I wondered why my Alliance raid practically RP walked into the Horde base casually killing everything along the way and then proceeded to waltz into the keep and slowly killed the boss. There was no battle at all, really. I was kinda let down. When I queue up for Korrak’s, I’m usually in it for the long haul. I enjoy the near endless game of tug of war. Now I’m just kinda disappointed.
I mean, I’m down to go make out in Stormwind in the Mage quarter In fact, My DK is on MG so I can even roleplay the whole set up HAHA
Well, the good news is the reg version of AV is still intact and is probably still going from yesterday.
