The solution to that is for them to fix the scaling to make that true, not make it a five minute race to boss kill that’s literally no different from normal AV.
They are absolutely allowed to be upset if that is how they feel. But they need to take it out on Blizz, and not the people who agree with the nerf. Our enjoyment holds just as much value.
That’s exactly what people are upset about though. The length of the AV is what people missed. People want those 1-2 hour long AV back it’s not my cup of tea…but if they enjoy it they should get it. And arguing about the quest is dumb. People that want to do the quest can go get their 500 honor and afk out.
No, the enjoyment of people who actually PvP outweights the enjoyment of people who do not when it comes to a PvP game mode.
Do you seriously think casual solo-player input has as much value in regards to Mythic Raiding as an actual mythic raider’s would?
You’re absurdely entitled and wax about politeness and keeping things civil to cover up for that. But please, keep talking about how angry I am rather than owning up to the fact that you want it nerfed to make it an easy 10 bronze coins.
lmfao we literally do classic time walking for the anniversary in conjunction w/ this pvp event. what are you talking about
But can’t they just farm Normal AV for 2 hours and leave the special event alone? I mean, the angry person even said there is a regualr version to run, and that version is untouched. So if there is a short, easy version, and a long, farming version… everyone wins.
He also complained about PvP players being a minority while telling people to not join his preferred content.
It is what it is. The behavior is disproportionate to the conversation being had but that’s okay. This is a relatively safe way to vent that misdirected anger.
But uhh. Whether people like PvP or not, these unrated PvP activities are intended for all players which is why they incentivize players to queue for it with quests like the weekly. I feel like telling people “stay out of my bgs” is a silly endeavor.
Thanks for proving my point with this disingenuous response.
More like, “blizzard shouldn’t nerf the nostalgia AV game mode into being identical to modern AV just so people who hate PvP don’t have to spend more than five minutes to get their free bronze tokens”
Genuinely, what is the point of Korrak’s revenge if it’s the same thing as Epic Battle Ground AV?
No they can’t because normal AV last 5 minutes.
Koreans revenge is supposed to simulate the AV as it was in its original for where it could litterally last days. Obviously that doesn’t happen but the regular av you can just queue for are like 10minute games
trust ppl who by their own admission do not care abt the content to also be ignorant of the content.
Ok, you are very angry, and I love that it is being nerfed. I want it to be nerfed. I cannot wait to play it tomorrow after it has been nerfed. I can’t wait to play it for the next 7 weeks in its nerfed condition.
Real PvPers still have an un-nerfed version of AV to go play and farm kills. The folks enjoying the anniversary, like myself, were not interested in 2 hours of being back capped and farmed for honor, and going AFK just to get the 500 is not cool. So participation is a must. So now we have the nerfed version, which I appreciate and am looking forward to, and the un-nerfed version of AV the real PvPers can still go farm in. Nothing is stopping them except for all the easy farming that could have happened in this event with a bunch of folks who are only there for tokens, and not for PvP pleasure.
Now that we have that cleared up… have you calmed down yet? Cause you were being pretty pissy for no reason.
I mean true. But doing the event and then asking for nerfs and changes because you don’t like it is just as silly. I’m not commenting on wheather or not he’s toxic that has no weight on what my opinion is.
My opinion is just because you want the coins from the event doesn’t mean blizzard should change what the entire event was created for just because some people don’t like it. The arena quest is a different story. I do think the arena quest should be change to “participate” instead of “win”
Can’t tell if you’re really this ignorant or if you’re trolling at this point. Everything you’ve just said in your post is the exact opposite of reality.
optics issue, buddy. doesn’t matter how you want to quantify your self-worth in front of strangers* when you look like this.
o sorry, had to phrase it more properly to give a sense of how weird and sad it is.
Blizz knows non-PvPers have no interest in it, and lowered interest would almost guarantee it never comes back in the future. But hey, next year it will come back, unnerfed, and there will be no bronze tokens for it, so PvPers can go back to 48 hour battlegrounds.
Get real. OP described the content as being enjoyed by “literally dozens of players”. There are millions of wow players. If only a few dozen like certain content, it makes sense to change it to appeal to a larger audience.
Trust me, he has no idea how his optics look to people not breathing in his flatulance. Otherwise he wouldn’t post stuff like this with a straight face.
I truly don’t even care about the optics. The topic is Korrak’s getting gutted… aka nerfed. I approved of the nerf, and had someone get downright angry and rude with my opinion. Don’t really care. It is nerfed and I will be in there enjoying it tomorrow. If you think I am worried about what strangers on the internet think of me, you’d be wrong. I don’t know you, will never meet you, and will probably forget about you 5 minutes after I log out for the evening.
is this really the lynchpin of your argument? he didn’t give you an abstract multiple of people high enough?
I agree. I don’t expect people to subscribe to my school of thought, but I look at the quest objective and decide if it’s something I’m interested in doing or not.
I used to do unrated BGs alllll the time several expansions ago but haven’t done anything really since Korraks Revenge this anniversary. Tried it out, died a lot, got my quest objective done and stuck around to see the BG through to victory. Had a lot of fun and will be doing it again this weekend, as I want to get the ram mount from the achievement.
I think people should be more open to trying things they don’t normally do and I agree that asking for changes to that kind of stuff to cater to me and my needs would be ridiculous.
That being said, I personally didn’t see anyone asking for changes to be made. In fairness I also wasn’t looking around for AV feedback so I’m sure it’s out there somewhere. But it seems to me like some kind of fictitious bogeyman for people to direct their anger at.
