“These guys are just trash here”
Awesome, not sure how I missed their twitter updates.
I just tried to queue on my level 38 mage and got the failed/group message. Came here looking for info. I guess I’ll wait for tomorrow.
Successfully ran this on 2 Horde on Eonar. No problems and the other team gave a formidable challenge (well done!)
Logging into Farstriders - Alliance and I get ‘failed to join as group’ error if this helps anyone with their datasets.
Thank you for working on this, Blizz. It is appreciated. <3
Just tried to queue on a Horde Moonguard character and got the “join as group” error. An Alliance level 50 character on Moonguard was able to queue.
None of my horde characters can join but all my alliance characters can with no problems
I just tried. I get the “failed to join as group” message. I am Horde and level 50.
i finally was able to get into one thanks to the hotfix they put out yesterday, and holy moly is it laggy. literally unplayable. everyone is just rubber banding everywhere and running in place.
They finally make it so you can actually que and it’s so laggy, that it’s unplayable lol. Blizz couldn’t do something right if their life depended on it. Just laughable at this point. Blizz made 1.2 billion last month in microtransactions. What are they even doing with that money? clearly not putting back into WoW.
It is now a laggy slide show of unplayable mess, if i wanted to play like a slide show id move back to my old laptop
Updating currently @ 4:37pm Eastern: Can play, but still very laggy and make it frustrating as a healer. Lagged every two seconds, couldn’t get a spell off and all the while getting creamed by attacks. Most disappointing, even with the two maintenance-schedules.
Same here. I killed a warrior who would charge me but be 20 feet behind as I kept running in a circle spamming shuriken toss as he slowly died. I never actually saw the shuriken animation just knowing I could spam it long enough he would eventually die to procs.
I was finally able to get in on this toon yesterday and immediately ran into the whiplashing lag that everyone has been talking about.
Oddly enough though, and perhaps others can confirm or deny this? The lag seemed to get better the longer the match went on. By the end I’d even hazard to say it was borderline acceptable. That being said the fighting at the end that I was around was smaller scale like 10v10~ish + maybe a dozen NPC’s so it wasn’t a full 40v40 zergfight, so I dunno if that had something to do with it.
UPDATE:
I might have found a fix. Please test this at your soonest convenience:
-
Go into “Systems”
-
Go into “Network”
-
UNCHECK the box “Optimize Network for Speed”
-
Exit the game, and then log back in.
It seems to have worked for me and another player. Give this comment a vote up if it works for you! If you have other methods of fixing, please continue this thread!
Playing in eu servers.
On Alliance getting in with alts, no problem… but with a lvl 50… it takes forever…
said average queue time 6 min… 1 hour and 30 min later… nothing popped up…
I don’t know what’s up with this, but somethings just very wrong in general
This doesn’t sound right to me. I did not buy BfA until shortly before Korrak’s last year, yet I was able to jump right in and start leveling characters.
I haven’t been doing them on sub-50’s. But I have found that during slow times now (4:00 am - 6:00 am) this is exactly what I am seeing. I just assume that so few Alliance are queueing up that it takes that long for a group to form. I attribute this to people now doing the new prepatch content and some also taking a break until the expansion.
Last year my understanding was that sub max level players were in a different bracket from max levels.
At least we’re getting fewer players who want to run right to Korrak.
Tried on multiple characters at all times doing the day, it’s the same lvl 50s are just waiting for a longer time… way longer…
I don’t know if there might be a limit for how many lvl 50s who’s aloud to enter each one… could imagine that could be it because tbh, what should a player with 8-9k hp, who doesn’t even have half of his or her spells, do against a +20k hp player, with full azinit gear, neck, a legendary clock and a full spell book.
It used to make everyone lvl 60 and all would have the same ilvl regardless of lvl…
Yep, we even crushed other premades
Oh what fun we had!
