Korrak's As Alliance

So I tried it. Oh my goodness how can Alliance play this? It’s a a 90% lose rate. Blizzard shame on you for releasing this tripe in which the horde have distinct advantages. I can’t even play it for leveling an Alliance toon. No wonder people flock to Horde in droves.

I find it highly entertaining … the xp boost is the same or maybe even faster than Horde and the chat is just so funny . Alliance as a whole have a more relaxed environment in BG’s compared to Horde where it is just stressful because you are always expected to win and if you don’t people just rage .

Played 6 game of Korracks on Saturday and won 1.

Now granted, during the week I usually play 2 korracks and win them both and I dont play Sunday’s so not sure on then, but that 5 wins of alliance that day proves you can win if ya’ll play right

Sure they can win if the group wants to bring the fight to Horde as SHB… it’s no magic strat.

Heres an experiment you can perform.

At the end of a rush game (One where both the Alliance and Horde ignore eachother and rush to the boss), check the damage numbers at the end of the game.

Its always a giant block of Horde at the top, followed by the Alliance.

The Horde are just better. If the damage numbers were equal, meaning both sides participated equally to try to rush the boss, the Alliance would be just as good as the Horde.

Unfortunately, most players on the Alliance doing Korroks are straight garbage. The only way to win when your team is garbage is to perfectly outplay the Horde, which certainly won’t happen.

Naah… they just want the XP. Win or loss seem to not matter

Yeah, and that explains the rush, but not why the Alliance are often so far behind the rush.

You won’t win in a rush, but you should at least be able to take down 4 towers, and they wan’t to because each tower grants exp.

They do take 4 towers most of the time though there are many games where you can’t even see where most of the alliance are and they have taken no towers or GY

I love those games. I feel like I’m hunting down vermin.

I remember one game on my DK where after
Horde had stormpike GY, I ported back to base to turn in some quests. Alliance had taken nothing down south and I started going back north checking out all the souther towers / GY’s on the way . I probably saw like 5 alliance . They must have been hiding in a mine or something .

Thats when I head to their spawn to camp the AFKers.

I heard that Alliance and Horde mercs were going into/above the hall where they can’t be map-reported. If games were fast enough this might be the faster way to level considering queue times; it’s a bit of a shame though that it wrecks the play experience.

As someone who has leveled 7 Horde and 6 Alliance in Korak’s, it is indeed faster to lose your way to 120 on Ally side than it is to win your way to 120 on Horde side. But only by an hour or two if starting at 110. Of course that time goes up the lower level you start and I’d imagine that leveling from 60, Ally could potentially level faster than horde by a full 6-8 hours of /played, if not more.

I would argue that the large block of damage is due to the fact that a large portion of the Horde were on Van and were able to do full raid boss PvE damage before the Alliance ever pulled Drek. Try pulling the numbers before the Van pull, you know, when Alliance is still slogging through all of the NPCs that they have to pull that the horde doesn’t.

You can perform this experiment at any point throughout the Battleground.

Or because half the alliance team is either on top of the cave or in mines ?

Blizz don’t care about pvp at the moment. Their incentives to participate in it are “get free xp.”

Just look at all their “new pvp things” = reused BGs that NO ONE really played seriously and no one plays once more. But hey, they might rererelease Ashran in 2 more years to try again… lol

Laziness, if only we paid some kind of monthly fee or something for new content…

I’ve been winning about half my games when leveling my Alliance toon.

I just finished leveling a void elf for heritage armor through Korrak’s. Lost 95% of the games even when alliance were trying.

Now leveling a highmountain tauren. Its laughable how easy the horde have it.

I don’t even mean the caliber of players either. The layout and flow of the map is ridiculously easy and straight forward as horde.

Since random bg’s are primarily filled with casual players, horde being able to move their way towards the end goal as a group with zero coordination is a huge advantage.

This has not been my experience. I find playing horde side much more relaxing. Alliance, on the other hand, feels like a bunch of pot-headed-out or drunk people who are more stupid than entertaining. Just my 2c. :stuck_out_tongue:
